James Cameron likes having certain things in almost all of his action movies and Dark Angel is no exception. I've noticed a few things that looked like they had been lifted from other stuff that JC has done, especially True Lies. Examples:
Tough women (found in True Lies, Aliens, T2, etc)
Tough kids (Aliens, T2)
Dumb cops (T2, Terminator)
Nuclear explosions (T2, True Lies, Aliens- This seems to be almost a theme in JC movies and I was halfway surprised when there were no anachronistic references to nuclear stuff in Titanic!)
Also, the escape through snow while being chased by snowmobiles was used in True Lies. Escape from a government facility was used in T2 (well, I don't know if mental hospitals are run by the government or not but close enough). Anyone notice any other similarities to stuff James Cameron has done?

Only one JC reference that I found this week and it's not really a reference. At the end of Episode 3 Max says "The ••••• is back." This was used as an advertisement for Alien 3. Of course, it was David Fincher and not James Cameron who directed Alien 3 but it was JC who did Aliens so he's responsible for the "•••••" in the first place.
Oh, one more possible reference: the girl at the warden's place reminded me of Newt. I half expected her to say "The warden mostly comes at night... mostly."
