Here's a date for future reference. The pulse hit at 12:05 a.m. on June 1, 2009. Anyone know if there's any significance to that date? And nice continuity as usual for this series. Logan once said that the pulse hit shortly after midnight, when he was out at sea on his family's boat.
Well, since Emily was born in 1984, and died in 2009, I'm assuming she was Sage's mother, not another kid.
How old is Sage anyway? The actor looked like he was 9 or 10, but the pulse happened 11 years prior. Sage would have to be about 14, but he sure didn't look it. Poor casting on his part.
Regarding the implant, they did make reference to it still being in Max back in "Red." Logan was able to fry the thing, but he couldn't remove it.
On a personal note, Logan really needs to get his priorities straight. Hot mega-babe wants to go away for a weekend vacation, and all he cares about is work. I just found that a little difficult to believe.
I actually like this ep a lot. The fact that it was different from the usual running away from manticore thing and that Max for once couldn't save everything in the end.
I did think the big shoot out at the end was a little hard to believe.
-Again, Logan drives. In the last ep, we saw that he could barely move his legs.
agian not a nit. They do make cars that can be driven without your feet. Senator Max Cleland from my home state of GA has 1 arm and no legs and can drive a car. I know this because before he was a senator he came and spoke at my church on veterans' day and drove himself. GO MAX (Cleland)!
Another comment about the driving part. Anyone notice that Logan was checking the pedals after that guy shot and destroyed one (I'm not sure gas or brake). This suggests that he needs the pedals to drive, or else he would have gotten Max and Sage the hell out of there. Now why he needs the pedals when he can't use his legs is beyond me.
About the bulletproof vest--I had the same initial reaction and then I realized that it may be Max's.
She doesn't look much bigger than I am and I wear a child's sized vest.
Jadyn, you're mistaken. What the bad guy shot and Logan was looking at was the Police radio in the truck. The bad guy was cutting off all possible communication. I still have the episode taped and I checked to be sure I was remembering correctly.
about the "checking the pedals", Logan wasn't checking the pedals, he was checking the CB radio that B.C. shot.
As for the shoot out at the end, what was with that corny line "We are armed, leave now or you will be met with forceful resistance."?? Where'd the writers think that 'gem' up?
Since the board for the April 17th episode featuring Cindy's old flame isn't up yet, I decided to post this here:
First off, I have a question: Do "Dark Angel" episode titles appear anywhere in the episode? I never bothered to look, but when I tried to find one in the April 17th ep featuring Cindy’s old flame, I couldn’t find one anwhere in the opening teaser or beginning of Act 1. If they don’t appear, much as those of most TV shows, where do you get them from? Are there press kits or sources I can find them at? Since they don’t appear, and there is therefore no way to easily identify an episode by title, would you consider putting (very) brief synopses of the eps on the episode listing page, kinda like the ones seen in TV Guide? That way, if someone want to find an episode they know by plot, but not title, they don't have to click onto every episode and read the synopsis there. Just a suggestion.
As for my nits for the April 17th episode featuring Cindy’s old flame:
When Cindy offers to give Max a manicure in the teaser, Max declines because it’s too "girly," and because she doesn’t believe in "pampering" herself. I guess Max considered that red dress she wore to Logan’s cousin’s engagement party a "manly" dress? Perhaps a legtimate substiute for combat fatigues?
Luigi Novi
Luigi, their's a diference between dressing for a fomal occasion or getting your hair done and getting a manicure or peticure.
>I guess Max considered that red dress she wore to Logan’s cousin’s engagement party...a legtimate substiute for combat fatigues?>
The short answer is yes. The only wore the dress to blend in with the "enemy". Combat fatiuges would have been to conspicious, the red dress was an approiate subistitute. Bottom line, the dress was a necessary, the manicure (in tonight's ep) was not.
Luigi: I get all my info from either the official site, or darkangeltv.com (see the links page). And I'll take your request under consideration.
The only thing I enjoyed with this one was Logan realising that just because people shot other people, didn't make them homicidal maniacs. The interchange between him and the police officer was one of the best in the series- really points out the other view.
Whilst it may not be an absolution for the police, it at least gives him pause for thought. The fact that he then goes on to kill someone later makes him no better than those he would hunt.
Love it.
otherwise, it was just another "character piece". Ugh! I hate those.
