Works for a secretive organization devoted to erasing Manticore's mistakes, especially the anomalies. He and his associates are extremely powerful, both in influence and in physical and mental prowess.

White was married to a woman named Wendy, and they had a child named Ray. White staged a kidnapping of his son to kill Wendy. In fact, she was only with him so he could breed. Luckily, Max stopped White from killing his wife, but the child was still sent away by White to undergo "training." Logan set up Wendy with a new life
A few months later, Wendy found out where Ray was being held, a prep school, but she was killed before she could help Logan. Max discovered several cult rituals, including one where the blood of a snake was touched to Ray's skin...if he survived the pathogen in the snake blood, he would be accepted into the cult. Max was also exposed to the pathogen, but she survived somehow, and rescued Ray, who survived as well. Ray and Wendy's sister escaped Washington ("Medium Is The Message," "Exposure").

The Manticore symbol was found in caves beneath White's stronghold, so his kind may date back thousands of years ("Medium Is The Message").

His kind are known as the "familiars" to each other. They answer to one man ("Harbor Lights"), but have several tiers of control within the organization ("Exposure"). The group is called the "Conclave." There is also a special group trained for combat known as the "Phoenix" ("Freak Nation").

White is actually Sandeman's son, and has a brother named C.J. ("Love Among the Runes").
