LCARS Access

Nitcentral's Bulletin Brash Reflections: The Authoritative Works of Trek: LCARS Access

This board is dedicated to the LCARS computers of the present: all of your favorite Trek Computer programs! Now, keep in mind that this still only relates to the canonical programs, and that no games will be listed. (Don't even try!)

Does the LCARS system at www.startrek.com count?

What about Captain's Chair, which came out in 1997? I enjoyed "playing" that. It allowed the user to explore the bridges of five different Starfleet vessels, the NCC-1701, the NCC-1701-D, the NCC-1701-E, the NX-74205 (Defiant), and the NCC-74656 (Voyager). I thought that was fun!

Throughout the different bridges, one can look up personnel files in the LCARS, pick up and examine various props like tricorders and PADDs, put up the shields, go to warp, fire weapons, and there are also recorded messages from some of the cast members on each bridge, but you must know which console to activate for those.

It's too bad that this program does not work on the recent versions of Windows, I would still use it if it worked!
