Nitcentral's Bulletin Brash Reflections: The Authoritative Works of Trek: Star Trek: Voyager: Pathways

Written by Jeri Taylor, this book shares the backgrounds of our heroes with us, this book includes both Kes and Seven of Nine. I don't have this one, so any plot synopsises you could provide would be very helpful.

In the cabin, Tom starts a fire in the fireplace by using a tricorder. I foudn that very interesting. We've known tricorders for 30 years, and no we know they can be used to create heat when needed.

Plot:

While on an away mission the senior staff and some extras are gassed and kidnapped because they were on a planet in the middle of a war.
They are taken to a prison camp and while trying to find a way to escape, each of the main characters tells their life story. Even Kes, even though she's not there.
Eventually, with the help of Harry, B'Elanna constructs mini transporters to help them escape and Harry befriends a young orphan woman and invites her to come with them. Captain Janeway shows up and with the help of Borg technology, gives Chakotay instructions on where to go once they do escape.
They escape, but the young woman stays behind to cover for them as they beam away. She's nearly killed in the process. Harry crushes his foot when he accidently beams it into some rock that shouldn't be there. Back on the ship, Chakotay begins to recite what he learned about the others to the captain.

Pretty good, Anonymous, but I don't remember Chakotay 'reciting what he learned to the captain' at the end.

Anyway, an excelent book, probably the best Voyager novel
