Why would a distinguished actor like Roy Scheider, who did films like "All That Jazz", "French Connection", "Marathon Man", and two films about sharks, belittle himself with this nonsense. Since he left DSV, all he has been seen in is junk that skips theaters and goes straight to HBO. Well, even in his past, he has had junk like "Last Embrace" and "Sheila Levine is dead and living in New York"-good book, awful film; the film bore no resemblance to the book.
Well, he didn't know that the show would wind up being as bad as it was.
Becuause most of his realy succussful movies were done over a decade earlier. His involvement with the show started because it was being executive produced by Steven Spielberg, with whom he once made some movie about a shark. He liked the show in its origional form, durring the second season he publicly stated that it had been ruined. That's why he left in season 3.
Sadly,Roy Scheider has passed away today at 75.That's now three cast members from SeaQuest DSV which have now passed on.
Of all the shows I recalled him being in upon hearing about his death, I had totally forgotten about this one. Agreed that it was good while he was in it, mostly.
Brian- looks like you don't speilchec either.
just kiidn. Original form.
scpipt, I do these days. Thank God for Mizolla Firefox and it's built in spell check.
Except Mizolla should be caught by Mozilla's spell check!
Finally ! ScottN agrees with someone!
Charlton heston might be next, he has early Alzheimer?
RIP Roy. He was truly a great actor. And the BEST commander of SeaQuest.
I hated how the show became more military and war-oriented near the end. Probably that's why it was cancelled.
