The Silent Blade

Nitcentral's Bulletin Brash Reflections: Fantasy Novels: R.A. Salvatore: The Silent Blade

I don't know if this a nit or not since I haven't read any of the novels that take place bettwen The Halfling's Gem and this one, but the back suggests that the elf with the eye patch on the front cover is assassin Artemis Entreri (IIRC that is the right spelling, but feel free to correct me). But, isn't Artemis a HUMAN? Isn't that why the fact he was able to match Drizzt Do'Urden blow-for-blow in their several confrontations in The Icewind Dale Trilogy so scary? A human mathcing a Drow? Creepy ain't it?

Oh, I'm sorry, that was supposed to be for Servant of the Shard. My bad.

The drow elf on the cover is Jarlaxle. Not Entreri.

Take it from a fellow Forgotten Realms author...

Oh, OK. Where I got fooled was the eye-patch because in The Halfling's Gem I'm pretty sure Entreri got his eye put out by the hilt of Drizzt's scimitar.

Well, I just started reading this one (The Silent Blade, I feel the need to clarify cause of my oopsie up top), and it's pretty good so far.

One question though. Why does Regis carry a magical mace, if he only ever hides during battle?
