I've searched and searched, but I have not been able to come up with the order in which the "Dungeons and Dragons" and other such interminable series were published. This is very frustrating, since, like most people, I prefer to start a series with book one. Is there a reason that some publishers have stopped putting the series chronology at the front or back of the book? The "Star Wars" books recently stopped publishing the timeline as well.
Are you including the Forgotten Realms and Dragonlance books in this?
Yes.
Well I'm trying to remember them.
The first Dragonlance novels printed were
Dragons of Autumn Twilight
Dragons of Winter Night
Dragons of Spring Dawning
(I think thats the correct order but they ARE the first Dragonlance trilogy)
You also have the Twins trilogy
Test of the Twins
War of the Twins
Time of the Twins (not sure of order)
The first forgotten Realms novels was the Moonshae trilogy
Darkwalker in Moonshae
Black Wizards
Darkspell.
Merat, here's a list of the Dragonlance print chronology on this site. From here you can also link to a timeline chronology. Hope this helps. I'll look for Forgotten Realms. There's also Spelljammer, though I think there was only a few of them, Ravenloft, Al-Quadim and any other worlds

This is a list of the Forgotten Realms, but I couldn't find a print date list.
