Nitcentral's Bulletin Brash Reflections: Futurama: Season Three: 3ACV05-The Birdbot of Ice-catraz
The Professor sends the crew on a contriversial mission- to boldly tow the tanker Juan Valdez. Leela refuses the assignment because it is envromentally unfriendly. THis puts Bender in command. He (preditably) screws up and dumps the dark matter from the Valdez on a penguin preserve on Pluto, causing a major ecological crisis. Bender excapes by pretending to be a penguin.

Bender sings a bit of "Greenland Whale Fisheries" while not drunk. My dad does that one.

I AM NOT POSTING ON THIS BOARD!

Apparently they must have Antarcticaformed Pluto since it is currently (2001) so cold that Ammonia & Methane are frozen solid.
Also the gravity of Pluto appears to be Earth normal.

If dark matter oil is anything like dark matter then the mass & gravity of Pluto should have increased tremendously after the spill.

When did the Metric system get repealed? someone (Leela?) gives a distance in yards.

I give this episode a spore friendly thumbs up. It was as much fun as blowing up a dam. ;-)

Phil Hendrie (LA talk radio show host) was supposed to be a voice on this episode. Does anyone know what part he did?

Bender uses Leela as a toboggan, and despite the fact he weighs 525 pounds she doesn't complain.

Bender still prefers "Olde Fortran" like in the pilot.
