I thought she was flying into a quasar, not a black hole?
Wouldn't shutting off life support take a few hours to become apparent?
Years ago I heard that women have smaller lungs & use less air than men while scuba diving for the same amount of time. However Leela's tank runs out of air first.
Possible anti-nits:
1. Her tank had not been completely refilled.
2. She's an alien & uses more oxygen than a human male.
As quasars are outside of our galaxy wouldn't it take thousands of years for the love radiation to reach Earth.
The title is based on the Los Bros Hernandez' comic book Love And Rockets.
Quasar, black hole, there's not that much diffrence.
Leela is no alien.
(But this was discovered later that season.)
Maybe she needed more oxygen because she was "working".
It's a quasar.
Quasar, black hole, there's not that much diffrence.
Actually, there's quite a bit of difference! Black Holes radiate nothing (well, almost nothing -- there is Hawking radiation). Quasars, on the other hand, are the most luminous objects known to mankind.
NOTE: This episode has got to be the goofiest parody of "2001: A Space Odyssey" ever. Major Kudos!
"As quasars are outside of our galaxy wouldn't it take thousands of years for the love radiation to reach Earth."
In the future, the speed of light is much faster. (This was established in a previous episode)
