In this episode it is revealed that Bender thought he was always invincible because he believe he had a back up program that would always keep him eternally "alive." However, in the "Beast with a Billion Backs," he attempted suicide. Was that suicide attempt supposed to also destroy all back ups perhaps? Or was it just in vain believing somehow a previous Bender (who did not know such grief) would emerge?
