2ACV07- Put Your Head on My Shoulder

Nitcentral's Bulletin Brash Reflections: Futurama: Season Two: 2ACV07- Put Your Head on My Shoulder
Amy invites Fry to accompany her on a drive after buying a new car. While on Mercury, they run out of gas. As their car is towed away, they end up having sex. When they return to Planet Express HQ, Amy is interested in hanging out with Fry, but he feels smothered. She proposes a romantic getaway and he gets Zoidberg to go with them. During the trip, their car crashes just as Fry is about to break up with Amy. When Fry wakes up, Zoidberg has attached his decapitated head to Amy's shoulder. They will have to remain like that while his body is repaired.

Meanwhile, Bender has started a computer dating service ("discreet and discrete"), which Leela reluctantly consults. Fry breaks up with Amy. Unfazed, Amy decides to ask someone else for Valentine's Day. Fry visits Bender for a date of his own. Both Fry and Leela have been set up with creeps from the bus station. Amy's date comes on to her, to Fry's discomfort. Leela rescues him by distracting Amy's date.

Zoidberg reattaches Fry's head back to his body. He thanks Leela and Bender takes credit. Fry accidentally kicks Bender and the robot's rear end starts exploding.

Well, Brian, it's nice that you're so mature about this.

How many people thought that Fry's head on Amy's body would be related to whatever Zoidberg cut off Fry at the end of last week's show?

The salesman is trying to sell the car on the luxury of using all these eagles, but he never says what kind of eagle? Were they rare eagles like the Bald Eagle, or have Eagles become as common as pigeons and they do this to get rid of them?

An oxygen atmosphere on Mercury???

I liked Hg's gas station. Hg is the chemical symbol for Mercury.

I did.

They show the sun going down (on mercury) over the course of a couple of hours, but the problem is that a day on Mercury is as long as a couple of month's are here. Not only this but it can get up to several hundred (perhaps even thousand?) degree's on mercury so it's unlikley that they could have the hood down.

Also the side that faces the sun is hot enough to melt lead.

Remember, though, Mercury is not tidelocked. It's rotation period is 59 days. That does give the night side time to cool off, but during the day it does get up to several hundred degrees C.

You forgetting that they had the A/C on.

Wouldn't the air conditioner have made the battery go flat?

Love the sign in the service department Bender goes to... "Welcome Back!"
