Wow...I've only sene the 1st ep and this one..but this season is REALLY shaping up to be a lame one so far - minimal SF, standard by the books marine stuff - hope things will get better.
The season premiere was unusual in that it was the traditional "metaphysical" episode for the season. The second episode was military, and this was diplomatic intrigue. The fourth episode looks fun...
I actually found this particular episode to be one of the best I have been fortunate to view. It had humor, realistic action--with the exception, of course, of Lt. Frank Parker being tossed through a wooden door, over a staircase, and landing atop of his musclebound compatriot without thereby killing him--and a well-written script. Overall, it is plainly a good episode. I must say, though, that I initially perceived this episode preceding its airing to be an imminent flop. I mean, the inclusion of a chameleon assassin and a past Navy SEALs associate sounded to me to be the makings of a horrid episode--almost half as bad as the alien/human hybrid and Roswell story lines during season two. I stand corrected.
