Tracker

Nitcentral's Bulletin Brash Reflections: Seven Days: Season Three: Tracker
From TV Guide Online: A Chechen terrorist (Peter Lucas) thirsts to avenge the death of his brother at Parker's hands by kidnapping the chrononaut and using him to steal time-travel technology. Petra: Anna-Marie Plowman. Dr. Rugoff: MacKenzie Grey. Talmadge: Alan Scarfe. Ramsey: Nick Searcy. Olga: Justina Vail. Donovan: Don Franklin. Owsley: Kevin Christy. Parker: Jonathan LaPaglia.

From UPN.com: Parker is abducted, drugged and tortured by a Chechen zealot seeking to avenge his brother's death at Parker's hands during a Back-Step. When Parker resists the truth serum, he is injected with a minute tracking device and unwittingly leads the foreign agents to Never-Never Land.

Nice episode- I particularly liked the way the tracker disappeared from its case when Frank back-stepped- as you would expect it to. I also thought it was clever how it would seem to an organized terrorist that FRANK is the person who ALWATS thwarts any big plan.

They mentioned in this ep that it usually takes at least 7 days to backstep again once the sphere has been used. Is this the first time we learned it? It would actually be better for show continuity if it took LONGER than 7 days. That would explain why they can't do multiple backsteps until they get it right on any given mission.

However, it also answers the question of why they can't go back MORE than 7 days by doing multiple staps back. If the most they can go back is 7 days, and it takes 7 days to recharge, then you're stuck with the 7 days window.

Of course none of this explains how they were able to do it in LESS than 7 days in THIS ep. Also, does the fact that we've now seen 2 people backstep at once mean we'll be seeing some missions with 2 chrononauts?

Except that the one with the cold fusion guy (first season), they backstepped tons of times to get it right. However, this anti-nits my complaints about why they don't use serial backstepping to go further than 7 days.

Well--wasn't the episode where they went back a whole bunch of times part of a glitch on the system and not the usual backstepping?

No, they kept going back in that one because Olga kept getting killed.

But there *WAS* another episode where that did happen. I think that was the one with Evil Frank.

I want to apologize all. Due to travel plans this weekend I missed the episode and didn't get it taped. So if anyone wants to volunteer to write a more detailed sysnopsis of this episode (like the others that I already have up for other episodes) just send me an e-mail at JamiLeeD@email.dom.edu.
