Nitcentral's Bulletin Brash Reflections: Seven Days: The Space-Time Wash: Seven Days Not on UPN's Fall Schedule
By Mike Deeds on Thursday, May 17, 2001 - 12:50 pm:

Bye-bye. While I'm glad to see that UPN picked up Roswell, I was sad to see Seven Days gone.

Same here. I will miss Seven Days but I am glad Roswell will be around for another season.

any rumors on a lesser network picking up the show? oh..wait a minute...UPN IS the bottom! :^)

(actually..perhaps WB? or syndication?)

Hey..... Seven Days has finally landed on terrestrial UK television!!!! (last night)

I can't believe UPN is dropping Seven Days. I tried watching that new Special Unit show but it's so •••••• - yuk!!! :(

By Mike Deeds on Thursday, May 24, 2001 - 9:56 am:

Anonymous, good point. I was shocked to see that Special Unit 2 was picked up for the fall. It is my understanding that its ratings weren't that great.

Len, no rumors (that I know of) of a "lesser network picking up the show" or even that ANYONE has launched a "Save Seven Days" effort.

Check this out:

Special Unit 2 debuted as Voyager's lead-in show on the 11th of April, bumping the now-cancelled Seven Days to Tuesdays. The first six episodes of the show achieved ratings that were similar to those of Seven Days, making it the only successful one-hour drama UPN developed this year. Some story information on the show was included in the recent Fall 2001 press kit, of which Jeff 'Koganuts' Koga sent in some more scans.

If SU2's ratings were no better than 7D, why wasn't it cancelled too? I don't get it.

they canceled the excellent 7 days for roswell? rosewell? roswell was bad since ep 1 i gave up on it after ep 3. well we sci fi fans lose again i guess

Interesting too, since Seven Days has two seasons, it's halfway on the path to syndication, while Special Unit 2 is not...

By Mike Deeds on Friday, June 01, 2001 - 10:31 am:

Well, I think Roswell is an EXCELLENT show and it has a great writer on board (Ron Moore of DS9 fame). The show can't be that bad since the WB is ripping it off with Smallville (Superman meets Roswell meets Twin Peaks). Check it out:

At alt.tv.sevendays, the PR girl from 7 Days said that she thought 7 Days would have continued on UPN if UPN had not picked up Roswell.

But I like Roswell, too. I'm just going to miss 7 Days. Hopefully Sci Fi Channel will pick it up and air it in reruns.

Actually they cancelled 7 Days before UPN even began discussing picking up Roswell.
