Nitcentral's Bulletin Brash Reflections: Seven Days: Season Two: Deja Vu All Over Again

I missed this episode, only catching the last ten minutes or so. Is this the one in which Lt. Frank Parker keeps repeating the same period in time, much like he did in "Come Again?", in order to save Talmadge? If so, could anyone please answer my question as to what happened (another sphere accident, the "transporter beam" of this extinct TV series) and why Parker would be speaking with an alter ego in casual clothes and drinking before our Parker repeated the cycle again? What was the deal with the bubbles in the beer going in reverse? And was there some type of foreshadowing at the end of this episode, as in when the "id" Parker suggests that perhaps Parker never left Hanson Island Asylum? Furthermore, at the end of the episode, Parker is disappointed to see that he once again returns to the room with his psychological apparition of himself. Does this mean that he had to do the whole cycle again? Thank you, and I realize I've posed quite a few questions.

Right, I've finally seen this episode in its entirety. As far as I know, this was the first time (no pun intended) any "time glitches" or "time burps" were ever mentioned. I didn't quite fully understand these glitches, anyway. Was it something physiological? Were they addressed again in future episodes? It appeared as if these glitches were affecting Parker more psychologically, but then he was actually able to exploit the "time burps" to redo the same events twice more. That was a bit of a stretch. This would insinuate that Parker's capable of making Backsteps without the sphere or conveniently manifesting those "temporal compensative waves" from "Come Again?".

Lucky thing that other female psychologist (who was she and where'd she come from?) pounded that nail of plot right on the head with her copout statement regarding how no one understands yet what effects time-travel has on reality and the Chrononaut. This seemed like an excuse to permit Parker to transport himself back to the beginning two more times.

My nitpicks are obvious ones. For example, didn't it ever cross Parker's mind to commandeer a vehicle and drive like a bat out of hell to the place in which Talmadge commits seppuku? Parker even shouted at that woman with the cell phone (she really was being a dangerous dolt whilst chatting on her cell phone) that he had to commandeer her vehicle. Or why did he have to follow the bike deliverer after that Shenmue rip-off (anyone who's played the Dreamcast game knows what I mean) already revealed to Parker the exact location? Hasn't it ever occurred to the Backstep team to actually GIVE Parker a cell phone? And last but not least, I believe it was during the last cycle when the bike deliverer leaves that Chinese restaurant (I love how this is supposed to be Chinatown, but all the Chinese speak English) much earlier than he'd done in previous cycles, thus indicated by the absence of that rickshaw taxi. Parker comments on the rickshaw taxi's disappearance, since Parker got to the Chinese restaurant earlier than he had before. But the bike deliverer, in turn, ought to have been JUST coming out of the Chinese restaurant, not taking off. In the words of "Family Guy's" Peter Griffin, "Well, that's my mama!"
