I've been playing the computer game "Alpha Centauri" with the addition that is with it, and some of the base names are interesting- "Deep Platform Nine" and "Deep Sea Nine". I guess the programmers were DS9 fans, or at least had the idea in their heads somehow. I decided to see if people have found other areas where things have been clearly influenced by Star Trek.

Crimson Tide had a Star Trek Reference, as did Spaceballs. And don't forget Sea Quest, DSV... It was Star Trek underwater.

Here is a real life Star Trek reference, I read today that scientists are working on a crystal storage medium for computers. It would, theoreticaly, have a memory storage of 10 TB (10,000 GB) per cm3. Today's storage is around 100 KB per cm3.

This sounds a lot like an Isolinear chip.
