'A Final Unity' and 'Generations' mainly because of the voices of the cast. But they had good gameplay and graphics. Has anyone heard about the Voyager game, as far as I know it was supposed to be out ages ago.

By Mike Ram on Sunday, March 07, 1999 - 5:59 pm:

Well I don't really like any of them-maybe if they made a first person shooter or a Defiant shoot-em-up space battle sim it might improve.

By ejefferson on Monday, March 08, 1999 - 11:13 am:

There is a first person game- Klingon Honor Guard.

Generattons- good graphics? You must have very low standards.

There is no Voyager game- the only thing I have seen is an advert in the DS9: Harbinger Box.

DOH!

See Above

By Anonymous on Monday, March 08, 1999 - 2:28 pm:

That's where I saw the add for Voyager as well.
The graphics were good for Generations for it's time.

By Dan on Tuesday, March 09, 1999 - 5:18 pm:

ejefferson- I think you got it mixed up. Don't you mean 'A Final Unity' had the bad graphics?
Where the cast looked like the Thunderbirds in the cut scenes.

By Ed Jefferson (Ejefferson) on Wednesday, March 10, 1999 - 11:37 am:

No- for the time Final Unity had ok graphics.

Generations had graphics that were about DOOM standard (the away missions only), when far better stuff like Quake was around at that time.

Game to look out for- Birth of the Federation- Star Trek strategy.

Although it was a Sega game, Star Trek: The Next Generation: Echoes From The Past was interesting and fun.

By Alfonso Turnage on Friday, April 16, 1999 - 10:07 am:

Okay, I have the Sega game, Star Trek: The Next Generation: Echoes From the Past at home and
I wanted to ask something. How do you get past those grey worm-like slugs on that moon? They are
so annoying? I tried finding all the radiaition,
but that did not help.

By Anonymous on Friday, April 16, 1999 - 10:30 pm:

You don't, you just have to fire at them with a phaser as soon as you see them. If you want I can also post the instructions for getting on the S.S. Nakatomi later in the game.

By Alfonso Turnage on Saturday, April 17, 1999 - 5:40 pm:

That would be great, Anonymous.

By N.L.A. on Friday, April 23, 1999 - 9:22 pm:

I've started a new board at the Next Gen sink for the game because it is a next gen game. (by the way, I was the one who posted that message, if anyone cares)

I'm currently seeking permission for a compuetr games board here at nitcentral, so queries over how to complete games or cheats can be discussed. I'm just waiting for Phil's reply, but fingers crossed!

By N.L.A. on Saturday, May 15, 1999 - 11:05 pm:

Cool!!

By The unfamous man on Wednesday, June 02, 1999 - 2:55 pm:

I think there is a computer games under "Movies", but I may be wrong. I like Starfleet Academy. I beat it. I hate Alshoff and the sun creature, but it's still a good game. P.S. What about Starship Creator? I haven't played it.

By Fred on Thursday, June 03, 1999 - 11:55 am:

It's not much of a game, but you do get to make your own ships and crew.

By Ed Jefferson (Ejefferson) on Friday, June 04, 1999 - 9:03 am:

Just a quick plug and some news.

Birth of the Federation was released recently and is a great game. It has some flaws (mostly technical), but hopefully these can be solved with patches. It is a strategy game, where you can control the Federation, Klingons, Romulans, Cardassians or Ferengi, building up your empire. The battle scenes are a bit short, but otherwise it is very good. I don't know how well it is doing in the US, but it is No 1 in the PC Games chart in the UK.

Also coming soon is a Voyager game called Delta Force. It is an action game. There is also a C&C style game called Armada and an Insurrection game coming soon.

Discuss all these and more over at the PC Games board. I hear there is a great moderator ;-)

I think Borg was a very good game. When I finally finished the game I saved the last segment, so now whenever I need a good laugh I just load it up and watch!

By Alfonso Turnage on Sunday, July 11, 1999 - 9:38 pm:

Has anyone seen the DS9 Sega game? Oh my God! what were they thinking?! I've never seen a Trek game that was so boring/••••••.

By Nick Angeloni (Nangeloni) on Sunday, July 11, 1999 - 11:51 pm:

I despised that game up until I found the cheat code.

Since my computer has been back, I had the opportunity to play Starship Creator, and can honestly say it is the best Trek game I've ever played. There are so many possibilities and it is one of the few games where the outcome can be entirely controlled by the user!

By margie on Monday, August 16, 1999 - 3:37 pm:

The Sega game drives me nuts. What is the cheat code?? Please?? If you don't want to post it here, email me.

By Nick Angeloni (Nangeloni) on Monday, August 16, 1999 - 10:11 pm:

In the password thingie, type DAVIDL. A new menu appears in the main screen, that lets you skip to any level or stage.

By margie on Tuesday, August 17, 1999 - 11:51 am:

Thank you.

By ERIC on Tuesday, August 17, 1999 - 3:32 pm:

So, why didn't anyone mention either BORG or KLINGON? Though I lack the games, I have the cassettes!

By margie on Tuesday, August 17, 1999 - 3:55 pm:

BORG was mentioned-see June 23 message

By Alyeska on Saturday, February 05, 2000 - 2:40 pm:

Well I think Star Fleet command is one of the better games. It uses things not mentioned in the show, but it adds more depth to the game. Being able to command fleets of ships and have allies from the different races is a really neat feature. That and the graphics are superb.

I'm looking forward to DS9 - The Fallen. That's based on the DS9 Millenium trilogy, and you have to find three red orbs or something. I've seen pictures and the graphics don't look wonderful, but the story sounds good.

By Alan Spontaneous on Sunday, February 04, 2001 - 2:11 pm:

Voyager: Elite Force is probably the best Trek game around. It's got a slightly short single-player mode, and the multiplayer does seem like a glorified Trek mod for Q3A (it shamelessly uses id's engine) but this is no bad thing at all. I know of someone who thinks Armada is the best thing ever since Homeworld - he now plays Homeworld.

By ystrgzr on Sunday, December 30, 2001 - 2:43 am:

The best Star Trek game is The Fallen!
Enough said... :)

By dupperisky on Saturday, January 12, 2002 - 9:04 pm:

1) Armada (gameplay, engine)
2) SFC (gameplay, SFB, canon-plausible ships, races, storylines, etc.)
3) Final Unity (story)
