There has been something bugging me for awhile. When I first saw the episode Reunion where Gowron was first introduced and Kempec was killed I always assumed Duras was the one who poisoned him. Then one night several weeks I was watching the episode again and saw a scene that I missed.
Gowron is in the observation lounge with Kehlyer and Gowron makes some comment about Kempec becoming weak and how the weakness proved to be fatal. That got me wondering. Was Duras who killed Kempec or was it Gowron.
I had hoped in this episode where Gowron was killed that they would somehow work it in. But they did not.
I was curious what everyone else thought. Was Gowron the one who assinated Kempec?

I kept hoping that would come back, but it never did. I think there is a good chance Gowron was it. But shouldn't this be on the TNG sink?

I guess but since Gowron was a character on both series I was not sure if it mattered. I'll know next time.

Gowron could just simply be making an observation to K'ehlar.

One does wonder now that Worf was forced to
finally kill Gowron about wheter or not Gowron
and the Duras Family may have been secretly in
cahoots,or was it just Martok that Gowron was
trying to get rid of?

I always thought that K'mpec's poison was slow acting, so he slowly became weak. Gowron, being observant, realized that K'mpec's strength was slowly failing, and later mentioned it to K'Eylahr. And anyway, does anyone else find it ironic that Worf killed Duras causing Gowron's rise to power, then later killed Gowron to cause Martok's rise to power? Talk about shifting loyalties.

Yup. I noticed the irony too. If I were ever to ascend to the Klingon throne, or be even close to it, I'd have Worf sentenced to Siberia!

Both Robert O'Reilly & John Hertzler were guests at a convention in Valley Forge, PA this month. They're both hilarious! First, after some Klingons escorted them to the stage, they, in true slapstick, knocked over a table and some chairs! Then they started singing some doo-wap! They told many funny anecdotes about the shows. They both have very young kids! Both actors were in Klingon, the game/audiobook that should have been mentioned on another board!

Gowron's cape was very heavy. Also, all of the Klingon uniforms were designed for Michael Dorn, which explained Gowron's clumsy walk because he's much shorter than Dorn! Look carefully when you see his episodes! By the way, Robert has triplet boys! One of them immediately recognized him in his Gowron makeup because his eyes bulge when he gets mad! For a while, he didn't want his boys to see him like that because he didn't want to scare them! He took 6 months off from work when his boys were born! What a great father!

Goog - Siberia? No, send him into solitary confinement on Rura Penthe!

Siberia? Minsk, perhaps...

Donya mean "Cheshire, perhaps..."?

Gowron poison Kempec? there is no way he could have done it. Its not his nature. He would just as soon pick up a Batleth and Kill Kempec as easily as he did with Worf in "Tacking into the wind" and with Kahless in "Rightfull heir" , and the time he stabbed the guy in "Redemption". Poisining is not his way,
