My local station is running new Voyager episodes and old Voyager re-runs. I have extreme DS9 withdrawal symptoms. I missed some of the season 6 episodes. How long do we have to wait for re-runs?
I have reruns of DS9 in my area. They started airing back in 1996.
The station in my area is airing reruns of DS9 in the same spot it used to run the new episodes.
UPN13 in L.A. ran reruns before the "Are You A Voyager?" thing. Unfortunately (and they did this twice) they got midway through season 4 and started over at Emissary. I was hoping for Season 5 so I could tape "Trials and Tribble-ations"!
Channel 43 (Canton-Massillon, Ohio) ran "The Emissary" after wrapping up the last season reruns. I thought "Great, they're going to go back and run through the whole shmeer again!" The following week, they showed the episode where Kira woke up as a Cardassian, which was well along in the series. They seem to be just plucking episodes at random. Phooey.
The alternate Fox network has been playing episodes in order right after the rerun of "What You Leave Behind." This week's episode is "Babel."
The Philadelphia/New Jersey area did have DS9 reruns on at 3:30 in the morning. Unfortunately, I can never get myself out of my sleep to watch them. Now, I have noticed that they have stopped that according to next weeks tv quide.
I think this thread is a good idea, maybe others in the same area can let you know where they are playing DS9 reruns, when, channel, and so forth. I certainly hoping someone lets me know if DS9 is playing in my area. I too, have DS9 withdrawel symptoms. It's not pretty!!
here in houston,tx, on the UPN network, they have episodes on and off at 1:30 and 2:30 am on weekdays, and 1:00 and 2:00 am on Sundays. This morning's episode was "Rules of Aquisition".
My UPN affiliate, Channel 20 in Washington, DC, treats DS9 horribly. When it was originally on, they would change timeslots repeatedly each season, so even keeping up with it was a challenge. They even aired the two-hour finale at 10:00 on a Wednesday night, as if anyone could stay up for it. They did reruns for a while back in 96, but gave them up for the short-lived Sinbad show "Vibe." (Anyone remember that one?)
Now they use it as filler. Baseball cancelled due to rain? Hey no problem, pull out a DS9. It's really rather pathetic.
I remember "Vibe"! UPN 50 in Detroit pulled DS9 reruns when that started, too. They started showing them again in the fall of '98, but after this summer they stopped again so they could show Voyager and TNG (and to make matters worse, made a big deal about how "Trek is back!" Hel-LO?) They do show it Saturdays at midnight, but not always...
Channel 11 here in New York/New Jersey runs the repeats in the old first-run slot-Saturdays at 7 p.m. (They also used to run Next Gen there when it was in first run.) Unfortunately, it is frequently pre-empted for Mets games (the ones that aren't on a cable channel.) It also runs them Sunday night/Monday morning at 2 a.m.
Channel 20 in D.C. (Cable Channel 12) just started running seasons 5-7. They are up to "Business as Usual." Only problem is they are on Tuesday-Saturday at 4 a.m. so you have to tape.
In my (San Francisco Bay) area, UPN has announced that it is finally starting repeats again on April 23. They will be on Monday-Friday at 11am to 12, so I will tape them.
When UPN13 was rerunning DS9, they stopped in the middle of the fourth season, which ticked me off, because I was waiting for Trials&Tribble-ations!
Now, of course, I don't have any DS9.
On an unrelated note, does the StarTrek on-line store still have the Tribble Pack (TOS:TTwT, DS9:T&T, and a tribble) for sale? I'd love to get it for my daughter.
FOX 13 in Seattle has them on at 5:00 on Sundays... that's not enough for me. They air TNG every night at 11 though.
I've seen every episode of Star Trek since the original series at least twice, except for the next to last season of DS9. I missed a big chunk of that due to unavoidable circumstances. It was my favorite series, and I'm hoping some day to catch up.
