Plot A: An ambitious nurse studies with Father Mulcahy for a medical aptitude test, but goes a little overboard in her feelings for him. She then misinterprets the actions of Father Mulcahy, Hawkeye, and Margaret, and wants to transfer out.
Plot B: The water supply has been cut, and everyone except Charles is dirty and thirsty.
There must be a scene cut, because it switches right from Margaret telling Harris that she did a good job in the OR to Harris complaining to Potter that the head nurse hates her.
Hawkeye and BJ steal Charles' last bottle of water, then go outside and promptly pour it on the ground. Or at least most of it hits the ground - a little does manage to get in their mouths.
The scene where Father Mulcahy asks Hawkeye for help is really funny - well done by Alda and Christopher.
As many times as Hawkeye steals in this series one would think sooner or later someone press charges.
There really is nothing more with Margaret between her telling Harris that she's doing a good job and hearing that Harris said that the head nurse hated her. Apparently Harris thought that the OR compliment was sarcasm.
Potter, who is supposed to keep up on things around camp, comes across as a little dim. Whilst making his declamation in his office, he says that he didn't even know that Harris was trying to become a doctor. Virtually the entire camp knows and has been commenting on "Nurse Doctor". Where has Potter been?
At the end, Klinger starts reading off a schedule for the showers. He makes it sound as if it's one at a time. Usually there's two or even three shower stalls, and sometimes two separate shower tents, male and female.
Once again, the opening credits list "Gary Burghoff starring as Radar". Folks, Radar is gone. Radar has left the building. He should not be listed in the credits any more.
One has to wonder if there's a reason the 4077th doesn't move closer to a source of water? The only reason I can think of is that such a move would put the unit too far away from the fighting. I kinda wish there was a line of dialogue explaining that, though.
The positions of Father Mulcahy's head in the shot where he says, "Excuse the language, Father" and "Present company excepted, Father" and "Nobody ever calls me by my given name" do not quite match in the scene where he's talking to Lt. Harris in his tent.
Hawkeye's reaction to the news that Father Mulcahy had to "give a girl the brush off" is priceless. Actor Alan Alda gave Captain Pierce a perfect, silent double take.
Charles once said a Winchester never sweats. Yet in this ep, in the shaving scene in the Swamp, the Major's underarm looks as though he's been sweating.
Um, if the showers are off-limits, why isn't it padlocked? You would think that Colonel Potter would have ordered a lock put on the shower tent's door to prevent anyone from getting in and taking an unauthorized shower.
When B.J. and Hawkeye enter the shower tent, Charles' face does not appear to have any soap on it. Yet, in the very next shot Winchester's face is very well lathered.
"I'm so conservative, I make you look like a New Dealer."
At the end, Klinger says he has an alphabetical list for shower times. The first name he reads is "Abrams." Alphabetically, that comes after "Able." Perhaps Nurse Able is on leave, since she doesn't appear in this episode. It occurred to me that perhaps he was listing men only, since usually there is an allotted time to to turn the shower tent over to the ladies, but the next name he says--after he is almost trampled to death--is "Baker," another nurse.
