I would like to have seen Klinger's restaront come to Toledo like he planned. (in case you haven't guessed, I'm from Toledo :-))

This is the first episode of the series to not show the back of Radar's head in the opening credits. Gary Burghoff is listed in the credits as "Also starring Gary Burghoff as Radar." Hints of changes to come.

When BJ and Hawkeye are sampling Private Conway's Spam Parmesan, in one shot, Hunnicutt is holding his fork near the top of the Mess Tent table. In the next angle, the fork is in mid-air.

How long did Potter go without entering the Mess Tent? It seems like he first learns about Conway at supper. Admittedly, we're told the Colonel hasn't eaten in days. But still, the scene around the Mess Tent stove couldn't have been the first time since Private Conway took over on cooking that Sherm's entered the Mess Tent to get coffee. And was Potter really isolating himself that much that he didn't hear the rest of the camp sing Private Conway's praises?

And if Potter hasn't eaten in days, then why haven't the other doctors checked up on him before this? Someone not eating could be a sign of a serious medical problem. Somebody - Hawkeye, B.J., Winchester or even Margaret - should have been asking him about it. And Potter telling them to butt out shouldn't matter. If Potter's not eating, again, it could be a sign of some serious medical condition or even depression. It would mean that Colonel Potter was not operating at peak condition and may not be suited to remain in command of the unit. The doctors would have to ask him about it.

When Hawkeye goes to talk to Potter about what's bothering the Colonel, the papers in Potter's hands are above the desk. The camera changes angle, and the paper are back in the folder.

When Potter walks in on Charles, B.J., Klinger and Margaret trying to call the adjutant general's office, the phone in Winchester's hand changes position depending on the shot.

Potter gave the men an order that Conway was to be shipped out. Yet, later at supper, that same day, apparently, Conway is still at the 4077th cooking the camp's meal. Potter later mentions it, but nothing is really said about it.

General Haggerty shows up at the camp to find out what's wrong with Colonel Potter. He finds the Colonel in the Mess Tent and sits with him. Klinger, Hawkeye and B.J. go to get some food for the general. The position of Colonel Potter's right hand changes between camera shots.

The role of Private Paul Conway was played by Ed Begley, Jr., who in a few short years would star as Dr. Victor Ehrlich in St. Elsewhere.

"Horse hockey!"
