Why is Mulcahy attending the meeting? He isn't a doctor, a nurse or corpsman. There's no way he'll be sent to the front.

In OR, there appears to be four surgeons operating. Why wasn't this doctor at the meeting in Henry's office? Why is he exempt from possibly going to the front?

Margaret changes the flat tire? Why not Klinger? He's the corpsman. Wouldn't he be the logical choice?

There's a great rare shot of Henry's office in this ep. We see Henry looking out his office window. For the only time in the series, we get a clear view of the far wall; the wall opposite the windows.

In the episode "Bombed", Margaret shares a blanket with Trapper. In this episode she shares one with Hawkeye. She put up some resistence with Trapper, but none with Hawkeye, I see.

Benn,

In the episode "Bombed", Margaret shares a blanket with Trapper. In this episode she shares one with Hawkeye. She put up some resistence with Trapper, but none with Hawkeye, I see.

In several eps., Hawk gives Margaret a passionate Kiss (often in public) and she always seems to enjoy. I got the impression that Margaret would like Hawk very much, but because he doesn't take the military seriously like she does, and enjoys playing jokes on her and frank, and makes fun of her patriotism, she is turned off. If you look at how often Frank acts like a total jerk towards her, Hawk isn't that bad, if he acts nice towards her for a change.

Margaret changes the flat tire? Why not Klinger? He's the corpsman. Wouldn't he be the logical choice?

I missed some of the dialogue, but Margaret always struck me as one of those hands-on people who trust only in themselves to do things right, and have a hard time delegating. She doesn't like klinger for his cross-dressing, anyway, so she probably thinks he can't change a tire quick, either.

Not to mention the kiss she shared with Henry in "Abyssinia, Henry". She looked rather happy afterwards.

Yes and no. I'm pretty sure that in the episode, "Comrades In Arms", Hawkeye and Margaret uh, "consummated" their mutual attraction to each other. And in the ep, "Stars and Stripe", Major Hoolihan describes her ideal man. Among the qualifications is that he be 10% Hawkeye (I believe that was the percentage.) Frank Burns got a much smaller percentage.

My problem lies with the ep, "Hot Lips and Empty Arms". In it, Pierce and McIntyre are trying to get Major Hoolihan sober. They take her to the showers. While being doused with water, Margaret said, "You know, I really could've gone for you." Hawkeye, egoist that he is, starts preening, thinking the Major is talking about him. She wasn't. Margaret was talking about Trapper. So, if Hot Lips doesn't object to sharing a blanket with Pierce, because she's attracted to Hawk, and she's also attracted to Trapper, why does she object to McIntyre's offering her a blanket?

Well, that seems to hold true when the Major is angry or frustrated, but under normal circumstances, she doesn't seem to mind delegating tasks to those of an inferior rank.

Some of the initial Mess Tent scene appears to have been cut for syndication. Particularly one bit where we see Radar's tray with two piles of mashed potatoes on it. Trapper comments that the mounds remind him of a girl he once knew.

Only three doctors are in Henry's office (not counting Henry)? Where the surgeons for the other shift?

There's a scene where Margaret is talking to Frank while packing that's been cut. It involves Frank trying to rationalize why he didn't volunteer and Margaret saying she's married to the Army. This seems to be one of the early signs that their relationship was not going to last.

Margaret really doesn't do too good a job washing her hands in the alcohol bowl. All she does is flex her fingers in the bowl. That's really not thorough enough. Hawkeye, earlier in the Aid Station scenes, does a better job. So did Klinger. (I realize that she may feel rushed, but Margaret has always been a stickler ["You touched your nose!"] for such details.)

Burns has a legitimate reason for objecting to Radar sleeping in the Swamp, believe it or not. Radar is the company clerk. It is through him that the camp gets all of its communications and information. If he's sleeping in the Swamp, away from the phone and all, it's going to be rather difficult for Walter to answer the phone.

Abyssinia!
