Plot: After three days of nonstop duty, Hawkeye finds that he can't stop and rest.
This is one of the episodes that I've never seen on FX, so far. The only thing I can really remember is Hawkeye dragging away a latrine, with General Clayton inside.
Think I've seen it on FX, maybe.
It was in a syndicated showing on FOX a week or so ago I think.
Naturally. One of the days I didn't have time to watch....
In this episode, the camp's compound is dirt. In several other eps, it appears to be paved.
Chicken wings from 1941, hamburger patties from 1939? Can meat be good after being frozen for that long? What about freezer burns?
Where was Radar coming from with that wheelchair? The path he's on, I believe, leads to the outside of camp. There are definitely native huts in the background.
The comic book Radar is reading is Captain Savage #10, a January, 1969 comic book. The cover is missing, though.
Why does Radar send the telegram to Truman? He should know it'll cause trouble. Hawkeye leaves before the Corporal finishes sending it. Why not stop before it's finished and cancel the telegram?
The chopper pilot, O'Brien, takes everything, his flight charts, his conversion wheel, his jacket, but leaves his line gauge in the Mess Tent. Guess it was expendable.
It is, to me, absolutely astonishing that Hawkeye, as he was losing his grip on reality, did not botch an operation. You'd think as tired as he was getting, he'd slip and would accidentally cause the death of a patient. Surprisingly this doesn't happen.
Great. The scrub sinks have been moved yet again. This time they're lined up with the wall of the O.R., where normally the surgeon get dressed. Guess they can put those sinks anywhere and not have to worry about whether the pipes will follow or not.
So the Officers Latrine in this ep is comprised of only two stalls, one for the men, one for the women? In later episodes the latrine would contain more stalls than that. And weren't there more than one set of latrines. One for the men, one for the ladies.
Abyssinia!
