Andrew Garfield is a MUCH better Peter Parker than Tobey McGuire EVER was, IMO. I just didnt realize that until recently, after seeing the new reboot film. He just seemed more real and believable.

In fact, I'd go so far as to say that McGuire was badly miscast in the role. But I do think Uncle Ben, Aunt May, and Mary Jane were well cast. As for the Osbornes, Willem Dafoe's Norman was too over the top and a major scenery chewer. James Franco as Harry was too much of a arrogant pretty-boy for my liking. Alfred Molina as Doc Ock was good, and so was Thomas Church as Sandman, but Topher Grace as Eddie Brock/Venom was THE WORST casting decision in the Sam Raimi trilogy. But I did like Bryce Howard as the original Gwen Stacy, in all 5 minutes she was in the third film.

And I still dont know why Raimi never made Curt Connors become the Lizard when he did the films. That I dont get!
