One of the best Real-Time Strategy out there IMHO.

In the Homeworld instrucion book when it tells how the Resource Collectors work, they are described as using a Magneto-Hydrodynamic Shunt Field. This is a homage to Hunt for Red October. The Red October uses a Magneto-Hydrodynamic propuslion for its "Silent Drive"

Here's a nit:

In the manual and opening clip, we see a view from the surface, where this gantry and mothership are clearly visible. If this was true, the mothership would have to be over 500 km tall to be visible at the orbit we see in the first mission!

Yet according to the movement disk, destroyers are only 1.6 km long (about the size of an Imperial star destroyer)
