School Daze

Tonight I remembered a game that was out in the eighties called School Daze which was probably one of the first computer games to come out. Or at least in the second generation of games. It had horrible graphics, all the characters could only be seen from a side profile. You were a character in all boys school and the object was to make through the day without getting to many lines or getting measles from student after you or getting expelled because a little weasel was going to tell you on before fifth period stared. The only way to stop him was to hit him so he could not get to the teachers.
I remembered there several student characters and teacher characters that one could name. One of the classes that you went to there was not enough seats and the other students would kick you out of your desk before the bell rang and the object was to be seated before you got lines. There was also a tattletale student who would tell if someone did something bad. Sometimes he would blame you even if you did not do it.
Does anyone remember this game?

Have you played the unofficial remake of Skool Daze, entitled Klass of '99? It had upgraded graphics and music, but played in much the same way and runs in DOS. You could write things on the blackboard too. The initialisation file allows you to change some of the names, dialogue, blackboard lessons, questions and answers to questions for fun. I particularly was fond of letting the English teacher discuss the virtues of "Trainspotting" to his young class... :O

There was also a sequel to Skool Daze called Back to Skool. The school was enlarged and you had a girls school next door as well.

Wow I did not realize that School Daze had a sequel or a remake. Thanks for letting me know.

If they want to model a school, make the kid walk
10 miles to school in 10 feet of snow uphill both ways, wear a Franteroy suit with a giant stiff Eton collar, and all of the teachers weld metal-edged
yard sticks. :)
