One of the missions is based on the episode, "Balance of Terror", a fact Rotherot confirms in his briefing. If it is trying to remain close to the original mission, why not eliminate the goofy Klingon pirate in the beginning? That doesn't fit in with the story.

At one point in that same mission, I defeated the Romulan rather quickly. So quickly that he hailed me just as he was starting to blow up. I know this is more of a glitch than a nit, but in effect, he is talking for about 10 minutes, and then self-destructing his ship, all while his ship is blowing up.

In "Smuggler's Den", you have to transport a smuggler to Starbase. The logical thing to do would be to tractor beam him, and keep him that way. Yet your crew acts like this is the most illogical thing to do.

They could have done without Alshoff (SP?)
and his breed of aliens altogether.
The whole sequence is too darn hard!

I can't get this game to install, let alone play on my Win98 puter. Any suggestions?

Throw the game away. It ain't worth playing even if you did get it working.

Why not? I enjoyed this game.

Rizzo, even on my Win95 I didn't play it very much. I spent $50 on it almost 2 years ago, hoping that was a good deal but recently I've bought more games for a lot cheaper so I feel ripped off by this ST game. I may try it again on the old puter or give it to my sister's kids.

That IS hard, especially since you are fighting with a Miranda class ship. The hardest mission I played in the game was that one where you fly into a nebula world, where the screen is all fuzzy, and you always end up smashing into the Venturi ship. The second hardest is probably the whole foldera with the Sun Serpent.

Easiest? Any mission involving killing Klingons, with no diplomacy whatsoever.

There is one thing I noticed about this game...

We see Cadet Forrester in his room working on the computer. The thing is, it is the same interface that we get between missions.
