Does anyone know for sure when C&C:Tiberian Sun is coming out?The release date keeps getting pushed back since last Christmas.

By Lisa Shock on Wednesday, June 23, 1999 - 12:01 pm:

C&C Tiberian Sun has had a lot of development problems! Right now they're saying it'll ship at the end of august, but I wouldn't count on it.

By Anonymous on Friday, July 30, 1999 - 6:55 am:

TS:sun looks awesome, I would buy it but I haven't beaten the windows 95 version of the orignal.... I think it's augest 27th??

By Jason, who must be insane because he is downloading something this big on Thursday, March 09, 2000 - 8:10 pm:

There is a demo for the new Klingon Academy at the official star trek website It is 82.4 MB but I am downloading it anyway. (heroic voice) "I shall report my finding here soon"

By SVanDyke on Sunday, March 19, 2000 - 7:53 pm:

10 days later...

I take it he never got the file. . .

By Jason on Monday, March 20, 2000 - 3:47 pm:

Sorry, I got the file but haven't had the time to run it because of exams and such (school's a pain).
I played at a few times and it seems better than Starfleet Academy. The starships behave like capital ships and not like fighters. They have much larger turning radii and they accelerate much slower than before. And you have a few more options for fine tuning the power settings for your ship. You have different pre programed settings, one for offensive battle, one for defensive battle, one for finding cloaked ships, ect. I don't know if there is a "real life" storyline like in SFA, though.

Over all, it seems like a good game. Once again I am sorry for the lateness of my reply.

By Jason, the crazy one on Wednesday, March 29, 2000 - 1:48 pm:

I have some more info...
They have more details on the starships when it comes to things like battle damage. In the training exercises I fought an "akira" class federation starship (it was a saucer and one nacell). During the battle a large portion of the saucer section was completely destroyed. It was hard to make out but it looked like there was decks and interior structors in the ruin. The best part is that the Federation ship kept fighting, even with this wound! She died shortly thereafter but still... In Starfleet Academy the only damage that you saw was a warp nacelle being shot off, nothing like what I saw here.

So far, all of the movies that I saw are the space shots or flybys of ships while a voice-over was going on. That may be different in the final game though. In the opening cutscene, they have a view of your battle damaged ship and you can see parts of it on fire and interior structors inside.

The details are better in the space battles so far. I can't wait to get this for real. Once again, if you would like to get the demo yourself it can be found at The Official Star Trek Website But beware... it is 84 MB in size.

The official website at www.myst3.com has the theatrical trailer for the game available online. The game is set for release on May 8th of this year.

Court allows Greek gamers to play on

By MarkN on Thursday, October 10, 2002 - 2:59 am:

This looks like one for the Idiots Who Deserve To Die category. It's about a Korean man who died from a gaming marathon at an Internet cafe.

By MarkN on Tuesday, March 08, 2005 - 10:23 pm:

Wow. No one's posted for over 2 years now? Well, here's a very interesting article that I wasn't sure if it fit only here (it's PC games news) or in a Star Trek thread cuz it talks about us getting somewhat closer to holodeck physics in games, perhaps a heck of a lot sooner than by the 24th century.

Anyway, you can read this interview about it.

By Influx on Wednesday, March 09, 2005 - 8:26 pm:

Habit, MarkN. I rarely visit a topic that's not in "Last Day" thread.

However, after a real struggle in getting Black & White Deluxe going on my new Windows XP computer, I see they are coming out with Black & White II soon. B&W -- the only game I ever invested years in.

By John A. Lang (Johnalang) on Thursday, December 27, 2007 - 6:29 am:

There's a new game called "Culpa Innata".

It's on PC-DVD and it's got very sharp graphics.

The mission is to solve a murder mystery in the 22nd century.

The 3-D backgrounds are breathtaking.

By ScottN on Thursday, December 27, 2007 - 3:21 pm:

And Duke Nukem Forever won the Wired Vaporware award AGAIN.

By John A. Lang (Johnalang) on Monday, November 10, 2008 - 3:32 pm:

"Bully" is now on PC-DVD.

However, there is a problem.

A warning will pop up saying that you need a DirectX9 compatable sound card.

OK...fine...

But I HAVE a DirectX9 audio card & the game still don't work.

I e-mailed Rockstar about the isuue.

I hope they fix the problem.

By John A. Lang (Johnalang) on Monday, November 10, 2008 - 8:42 pm:

"The Witcher" is a very cool game too.

I like the "rewards"

By John A. Lang (Johnalang) on Saturday, January 31, 2009 - 2:12 pm:

I got "Bully" to work...but I had to buy a new computer to do it.

As far as I am concerned, ROCKSTAR owes me $1,000 for a new computer to play their new games.

By ScottN (Scottn) on Friday, January 21, 2011 - 9:00 am:

Run for your lives! It's the END OF THE WORLD!!!!!!!

There is a Release Date for DUKE NUKEM FOREVER!!!!!!
