Wow! No one's posted anything here at all in all the time it's been up? Well, then, I guess I'll just have to.

If you're having trouble with getting thru this game like I did, then here are some cheats from CNET.com. Just click the PC Games link, then the R link, then Rainbow Six. I use the god mode for all members for invincibility but unfortunately it doesn't work for hostages. You may be able to use more than one cheat at the same time, but I'm not sure yet cuz I only use one so far. Yes, I know I shouldn't cheat but I won't get too far if I don't. All of my guys will be killed before I can make the final level and I'd have to reinstall the entire game and start all over again. Oh, well, it's only a game.

Actually if everyone dies, just repeat the mission or start a new campaign. You shouldn't need to reinstall the game.

Cool. I've already got one guy, Burke, dead for good. The guy at work who made me a copy of this game told me if all my guys die that I'd have to reinstall it and start over again. He also kept forgetting to bring me the manual and would sometimes give me some hints on what to do. I had to learn some things on my own and then he finally brought me the keyboard commands, which I copied down. Had I remembered that I had the cheat page bookmarked I could've saved my guy Burke, but oh, well. Still got plenty of others.

I don't remember the mission title, but I'm stuck in the one where you deactivate the security system in the garage, then the downstairs phone, then return to the extraction area, like the brief said to do. Well, I thought that's all you had to do, but someone at work said I have to bug an upstairs phone, too. I looked all around upstairs but didn't find one. He insisted it was up there. It wasn't. Then he said to bug the computer that's in the study. I tried that several times by circling it, but it didn't work, either. So that's where I'm stuck. What do I do now to finish that mission?

It's also a bit frustrating that you can't use deadly force against the guards so that you can catch Dr. Winston in her treachery. I guess I got used to doing it up to this point and I'm told there's another mission where deadly force is forbidden. I'll do it sometimes anyways just for the hell of it.

I also got the novel yesterday that this game is based on and I hope it's pretty good.

Hey, guys! Doesn't anyone play any of these games anymore? I got the Collector's Edition sixpack but haven't tried it yet. I got it mostly for Rogue Spear, which I wanna play online. I wouldn't've gotten Covert Ops by itself but I figured what the hell, it came with this game. I thought Rogue Spear was a standalone game but it didn't work when I loaded it alone so I've got to load Rainbow Six to get it Rogue to work. Oh, well.
