No one has anything to say about this awesome game?

Not too many nits that I can think of as you could always attribute a nit as a bug in the game.

In this first mission, paul denton tells you that you shouldent kill anyone , yet when if an NSF attacks him, he will always kill the guy. So much for non lethal approach eh Paul?

At the end of the first mission once you capture the terrorist leader and make your way back down you see that all of the NSF have been killed by UNATCO troopers, yet with the exception of the UN guys you saw that were killed earlier no extra ones seem to have been killed. Is this really realistic?

I have plenty to say about it, but no one else seemed interested.

It is a fantastic game, and has a wonderful story.

I do not see it all as unrealistic, particularly considering Paul will slaughter you, his own brother, if you shoot him more than once (don't tell me you haven't tried that :)).

I am not very far, and I am still trying to find the illegal power generator in the third main mission, but I have loved it so far.

I would say there are very few nits, and they seem to have got it all exactly right. I suppose the greatest nit is the way you can kill anyone with a shot or two, except those who are vital to the story, such as Paul, the UNATCO pilot, Anna Navarre, and Joseph Manderley, who are completely indestructible, and will take an infinite number of rockets to the face. Not good.

Even so, it is probably the second best game I have ever played.

Peter.

Oh yea :) And for the UNATCO guys being invincible, wait until a bit later into the game. Thats all I can say without spoiling it. The reason they are invincible is that they have pivotal roles later on, so they can't die until then.

Has anyone else been able to get the "good" hells kitchen battle news (for lack of a better way to put it).

What I mean is when you get back to unatco hq and the guys are saying "A buddy of ours says you saved his ass in heels kitchen" .

If not then I do know at least a way to get it but not exact deatils.

In the shootout in the park in hell's kitchen, no unatco guys can die. There is a specific terrorist (may be more then one Im not sure) you must kill. if you kill that one once the battle is over you get told "you guy the guy that got jones, serves him right eh?" . If you get told that you got the "good" ending to that battle.

As for what NSF you need to kill, Im pretty sure it's the one that breaks out of the warhouse durring the battle.

Last weekend I was at a videogame store in the nearby mall and they sold the older version of this game for about $15-20 but the GOTY edition was $50, so what, if anything, other than being a GOTY, warrants charging so much more for it? I'm sure it's got all the latest patches and such but surely that's not enough to justify charging so much more. The box didn't feel particularly heavy as if it included a strat guide, either.

From what I hear it's cd has a fancy picture on it, and it has all the latest patches and the sdk but thats about it.

Ah! So I was right then that the extra cost isn't justified! I knew it!

I got the preview edition of this game last week for $9.96 at Wal-Mart. I guess it's actually the full version, but not the special edition. I haven't really tried it yet.

Apparently there is going to a DeusEx movie! I wonder how their gonna pull it off though, as the game as pretty long with quite a few locations. It's gonna be interesting to see how they condence it into a 1.5-2 hour movie.

I can't get the demo to run properly! In the training mission, when I try to jump into the water on either side of the bridge, the graphics go haywire! It's not a crash per se, but it's very odd.

It's a bug of some sort. I still haven't gotten into this game yet. Anyway, try http://www.PlanetDeusEx.com for patches.

Hmmm... I'll give it another try with the parches.

Buggy games are a major pain in the body part you sit on. Especially when your savegames are not compatible with the new version.
