Trial

Nitcentral's Bulletin Brash Reflections: Blake 7: Season Two: Trial
Whilst Travis is put on trial for the slaughter of over a thousand civilians, Blake, wracked with guilt over Gan's death, runs away to a planet.

Normally when going to the Teleport room from the Bridge and vice versa they use the passageway on the veiwers' left. However, when Blake leaves the Bridge he takes the right passage and when Cally comes from the Teleport room she enters the Bridge from the right passageway.

Why would Zil have a name? If these creatures have to be apart most of the time, why would they have names & who would name them?

When Avon is explaining to Cally how important it is to hit the teleport button at the right time, I love it that Avon smiles when he says, "He's gone for good."

Of course, having explained the importance of her hitting the button as soon as she sees Blake start to materialize, Avon then stands in front of her so she has to lean to see the Teleport pad. Then Vila comes in and stands next to Avon.

Blake's attack is said to be on quadrant 6. Shouldn't that be sextant 6 as a quadrant is only supposed to have 4 sections?

Or perhaps the 6th quadrant. (no, that doesn't make much sense, but quadrants one of those sci-fiey type words)

Was that Fred Elliot in the court room?!

Who is Fred Elliot?

Isn't Fred Elliot a character of Coronation Street? I'll have to check my videos to see if I can see him once I get back to England.

A really gutsy story this one.
the whole retribution thing was priceless and Brian Croucher almost, ALMOST, makes up for Stephen Greifs absence.

I believe we also have the late, lamented Inspector Tosh from The Bill playing Parr in this episode (The guard who gives Travis the drink in his cell).

Another boom in shot in one of the wide shots of the court room (I think it is just before Travis makes his declaration).

Speaking of that declaration I was reminded of the war lords defence at the end of the War Games. Especially the "if I am guilty the you are too!" bit.

So why did Sil take Blake's stuff? What purpose was that for? To make him run?? Why not just lead him on a merry chase by shouting "You'll be swallowed if you stand still!!"

The cameras filming the sequences on the planet were very dirty. There are a number of shots when there is dust on the lens.

Normally when going to the Teleport room from the Bridge and vice versa they use the passageway on the veiwers' left. However, when Blake leaves the Bridge he takes the right passage and when Cally comes from the Teleport room she enters the Bridge from the right passageway.- KAM

They frequently use both passageways. I just assumed that both, eventually, wound their way to the teleport room. Maybe the distance is roughly the same but there are different stops along the way. As there is no definitive map of the Liberator it is hard to say otherwise.

Also, isn't there some sort of light that tells a room they are being listened in on?? At least twice now conversations have been overheard in the control room. Seriously, if that was me on that ship I would be afraid to open my mouth for fear of being heard by a paranoid Blake or Avon.

You would think the overparanoid Servalan would have better security around her office, not to mention a weapon close at hand. Travis really gets in far too easily for a man on the run. True, there has been an explosion but that was in another part of the station and was contained.
