Vila says everyone came from Earth originally. Ignoring the contradictory origins of Cally's people, in this episode the general mentions the Wazi who are gill-breathers. Doesn't sound very human.
Orac delegating the problem? Isn't this the Orac who supposedly can assimilate knowledge from various computers and can figure out things from the accumulated knowledge?
Servalan is referred to as Supreme Empress instead of President.
Servalan was believed killed at Geddon? So she escaped from Liberator & later was believed killed at Geddon?
Maybe Servalan has had some androids created that look exactly like her and she sends them into the dangerous situations?
Hunda seems awfully trusting of Tarrant & Dayna.
The computer sounds a little like Zen.
How do you inject a drug with a laser?
Amazingly, the general doesn't know of Orac. I should think it's abilities to get into computers would have it listed as a major threat.
How does Dayna know that Forbus invented Pylene 50? Leight didn't tell her.
Earlier Pylene 50 is said to block the production of adrenaline, but it is said to have originally been a muscle relaxant and that a 100 times dose robs the will. Wouldn't that stop a person's heart as well? Also if all it does is block adrenaline production, why not inject them with adrenaline?
So why didn't Dayna shoot Servalan when she saw her?
Slave says the cruisers are in sector 12, but earlier it was said that Helletrix was in Sector 4.
The rebels' "play dead" ambush is a little spoiled by the first one seen by the camera blinking. The production team must have popped down to the local sports shop because the rebels have a very 1980s sportsbag. Also the Federation pistols get a new effect in this episode, before they shot fire & sparks like the rifles, but now they have a red glow.
Zen,Slave and Orac were all voiced by Peter
Tuddenham(credits).
Vila's reasons for hating Tarrant:
"He's young,good looking and brave."
Great Vila line:"Blake would've been proud of you." concerning Avon's decision to wait for
Tarrant and Dayna instead of running once the
Federation interceptors are launched.
Didn't any of the rebels think of looking into
Leitz' credentials before trusting him?
What is unusual about this episode is the fact
that Jacqueline Pearce gets second billing following Paul Darrow where normally Michael
Keating would have and she would have gotten
third billing.
IIRC, Scott, I thought the Federation computer sounded a little like Zen.
I think maybe her Terminal plot was carried out unofficially and no one knew what she was up to. When she went to Terminal for the final stage, she told everyone she was going to Geddon.
And I thought the Federation computer sounded like Orac, so I think we can safely assume it was Tuddenham in an uncredited role.
