Headhunter

Nitcentral's Bulletin Brash Reflections: Blake 7: Season Four: Headhunter
Avon and Vila meet up with a cybernetist, who has developed a robot. The robot, however, wishes to steal Orac and control all organic life in the galaxy.

The space suit helmets are motorbike crash helmets painted up. They have a big gap at the bottom which would let the air out, unless it has some sort of force field to keep it in.

Orac's "Yes...master!" at the end was a little
bit eerie.

I thought he (Orac) was being sarcastic; he'd just been getting after Avon for arrogance.

Avon pausing to admire the android while it rampaged through the base was a nice touch--that & wanting to keep it afterwards. Good thing Tarrant & Dayna had more sense.

Another 'just a door' set.

Surprising that Orac actually wanted humans to dominate their creations. If the revolution that the robot wanted to instigate with Orac's help had come to pass, Orac would have been the supreme ruler. Maybe Ensor built some limitation into him, or maybe that bomb that Avon planted in him if any psychic force tried to take him over again might have been tripped if he did try to go along.

I agree with Avon that destroying the robot at the end was a stupid thing to do once they got it under their control. Then again, what does the robot actually do, besides walk and otherwise be a robot? Are they really just getting around to doing that by Blake's time?

Would have been a good idea if they kept it and made it like Orac's body.
