A Presidential front-runner is visited on his plane by a mysterious stranger, who says she has come from the future to save his life.
Convinced by the female visitor from the future to believe that his reign as President is to inaugurate peace and prosperity and that an overzealous aficionado also from the future delayed the flight merely by a second and thus placing it in unavoidable danger, the President abides by her instructions to snaffle the handgun from his bodyguard and leap out of the airborne plane. Promised to be safely aided by future technology, he instead plummets to his death, but not before receiving a neural message from the female visitor stating how this front-runner in fact became President and an era of constant surveillance and patrolled monitoring of the United States' citizens due to his paranoia ensued. Her mission was to sabotage his success by any means possible.
