The Heist

Nitcentral's Bulletin Brash Reflections: Outer Limits: Season Two: The Heist

Embittered after a friend's betrayal cost him his Army career, Lee Taylor helps a self-styled militia major hijack an Army shipment. He reaps a deadly reward. The militia, which includes Lee's brother, Calvin, expected a missile shipment. Instead, they find a mysterious, sealed cargo and a lone army guard. Under threat of death, Captain Teri Washington refuses to reveal the nature of the cargo but warns it is deadly. The major thinks she is lying until an alien life-form begins a chilling series of attacks. Discipline crumbles and loyalties are tested as the creature stalks its prey with impersonal efficiency.

Everyone, except for the missionary and Capt. Washington, are slain by the two entities, one of which was formed by the initial entity. The missionary and Capt. Washington survived the assault because they succeeded in obliterating the entity and its identical clone by activating a neon sign that contains chemicals detrimental to the entities' biological components. The two exit the building and part their own separate ways. Unfortunately, though, a policeman is notified to investigate a peculiar temperature change somewhere else after some time elapses and is left entirely frozen by one entity that escaped.

My nitpicks are as numerically proceeds:
1) There is a gray scratch on the box, which is containing the entity, by the serial number and E.B.E. initials that is there one minute and gone the next. Furthermore, the lid of the box was never unlocked but is still opened by the entity. And the cold leakage ceases with no explanation or concern.
2) The mannequin's head, which was previously shot to pieces by the female lieutenant, remains intact, as is the case in a sequential scene.
3) Capt. Washington has lieutenant bars on her uniform. This is incorrect, particularly if she is in the Army, Air Force, or Marine branch of the service.
4) There is no visible breathe expelled, and it is allegedly quite a cold environment.

Ending was a good opening to a sequel episode that never happened.
