BEST SEASON: IMO, Season 3, no doubt about it. Some of the best eps in the series; and the ONLY season to end, literally, with a BANG. WORST SEASON: Season 6 - again, no doubt about it. The Killer B's had taken over; and the series, after "Barge Of The Dead", went south at maximum warp, finally, literally, hitting rock bottom with "Tsunkatse".

Hmm... Season 3 as the best? Well, it did have episodes like "Favorite Son" and "Rise" - not the highest quality!

But it built into the Borg stuff wonderfully.

In terms of Season 6, I think Season 2 was faaaaar worse. Don't forget episodes like "Tinker, Tenor, Doctor, Spy," "Muse," "Pathfinder," or "Life Line."

And I think it hit "rock bottom" with "Spirit Folk" not "Tsunkatse."

Agreed. Season 3 had by far the best "feel-good" factor, although in my honest opinion the one episode that let it down more than any other was "Displaced."

OK, guys, I will put my two cents in for "Spirit Folk." It may not have been the best of episodes, but I rather enjoyed it, given the circumstances. I watched it late at night on a Saturday, after an extremely stressful day. It was about 1 a.m. I put the tape into the VCR, poured a glass of wine, emptied my mind and enjoyed. Not as good as "Timeless" (my fave) but OK.

You LIKED Timeless? Mmmmm. I suppose its not that bad but I don't think it was one of the best. I quite liked Spirit Folk as well. Fair Haven was a drag but Spirit Folk let you get away from the actual ship for once. Okay, it was on the holodeck but still...

I think some of the best episodes were season six. I liked Barge of the Dead and Tinker, Tenor, Doctor, Spy and I can't remember the others right now. I also liked Infinate Regress but I don't know what season that is.

Vicky, the impression I get from reviewers, published favorites lists and fans is that most of them people place Timeless on their favorites list. You're the first person outside myself to opine that they didn't care for it.

My favorite episodes of Trek are: 11:59 , spirit folk , fair haven , Profit and lance , Sub Rosa and The masterprice society all trek's finest hours.

Wow. At least 4 out of those six are often villified by others. To each his own, Anon. But just so you know, it's Profit and Lace, not Profit and Lance.

AUUUGUGGGGGGHHHHHH!! He named the episode whose name we dare not speak!

At least The Masterpiece Society is okay.

I think that since they posted as Anonymous, this post was a joke. I'm a big fan of Season 4. I have never liked Season 1 or 2 though.

Josh, maybe that poster was a troll. In any case, here's my fee for the bridge.

I don't think it's fair to suggest that someone is a troll just because they claim to like episodes most of us do not. If they're villified just because their opinion differs, is it any wonder they post anonymously?

By Sven again... on Monday, August 05, 2002 - 2:37 pm:

Then again, did (s)he say why he thought they were Trek's finest hours when many others were more likely to disagree? No. Maybe his or her purpose was to bring others into instant disagreement with him or her by posting the way (s)he did without backup, and by posting as "Anonymous" the suspicion is raised further. Still, live and let live, I guess...

By the way, I also like "The Masterpiece Society" - it has some pretty good issues in the story.

I've alway found the masterpiece society to be boring, while the issues it discussed were interesting, the presentation was dull.

11:59 was basically the most boring hour of telvision in TV history.
