Okay, the one I just posted has appeared, but the one I posted earlier, on this board, still isn't there. I wonder why not? It's strange.

It happens to me once in a while too. Usually because I left the page (closed the window or re-focused the browser on a different page)without clicking the "post" button.

Ok. I have closed off a number of threads that have been created over the last 9 months by Jeff. As much as I appreciate Jeff has issues that he wishes to discuss, when an argument goes around and around without much else or forward momentum then I feel the discussion has run its course.

People are getting frustrated and I am trying to lower the collective pulse of this board before something else happens.

I want to make this clear- Jeff has broken no rules of the board and is not banned in any way. He may continue to post RELEVANT discussion here.

I spent some time deleting topics created in the last 24-48 hours by Jeff and have now switched off the create a new discussion button in that area.

Jeff- Trolling this area will result in you getting banned from it. Trolling in this instance, is defined as spamming the board with topics and not starting a discussion (and no, "what are your views on this?" is not a start). Also inflammatory comments about religious figures (see Martin Luther board) that you refuse to answer for will also see you banned from this area of the discussion board.

If you want to start a discussion then I suggest you bring some discussion points to the table. Maybe limit yourself to one or two a day rather than several.

I am constantly monitoring this site (as are others) and any further breaches will see you banned from this area.

I hope that is perfectly clear- if not, then ask for guidance.

Yes any comparison between Jeff and Andre is ridiculous. Yet I still believe by his actions he is displaying troll-like behaviours.

Andre was up for vile abuse whereas Jeff tends to just start a miriad of boards and see if any stick.

I've given Jeff this leeway simply because he's remained polite to us even he has been annoying.

Tim seems permanently angry and hostile even when he's only aimed at you Rodney. He reminds me of Dick Sargent, who also looked permanently angry.

Hi all! I have removed some pointless comments from a couple boards by our resident pest.

Jeff- I am going to be deleting your posts which are nothing but a link and/or a "what do you think?". If you want to post a link, fine BUT you must also present your own thoughts on this. Maybe a few sentences to explain why you wanted to share it and parts you found resonated with you or you did not agree with.

Just noticed this in the rules list:

7. No Anonymous postings. I'd prefer that you either use your own real name or at least the nickname you're known as.

You can't post Anonymous in this, or any other forum, here. One of the first things I did when I became a Roving Mod was to disable Anonymous postings in all forums that it wasn't already disabled in.

The reason I did so is because it was a loophole in our security that troublemakers were using. A loophole that is now closed.

This rule is out of date.
