It is very disturbing to read the online articles saying that over
10,000 people in Italy alone have died from this pandemic. Things like this make me and countless other Christians hope and pray for the Second Coming of The Lord Jesus Christ, to eliminate all evil, suffering and injustice in the World once and for all, and make the World a perfect place to live, Imagine a World with No More Crime, No Violence, No Racism,No Hate, No Mental or Physical disease, No Poverty,No Hunger or Homelessness, No Loneliness,No Boredom, No Animal Cruelty, No Natural disasters, No Fear,No or Uncertainty or Anxiety, No hectic stress filled Rat race , a World with Zero Suffering,Evil & Injustice, that's the type of World myself and countless other Christians long for, I'm an Evangelical Protestant, and countless other Christians wish Jesus would return in this year, the year 2020 to eliminate all evil, suffering and injustice once and for all, See the 2004 book Heaven by Randy Alcorn, it gives a superb Christian Biblical description of what Heaven and the New Earth will be like, I don't agree with Alcorn on everything, but it's a superb book, And on YouTube there is a video uploaded on December 11,2013 by GottaLovePlus titled CBS Storybreak How to Eat Fried Worms
Worms, the story takes place in August of 1973, in New York State, not too far from NYC , This YouTube video and it's opening credits and music remind me of June of 1991, when I watched this very same CBS storybreak episode and my mother was still alive, the opening credits to this special showing the two birds briefly flying together in the air and then the words "How to Eat Fried Worms" appear on the screen , it reminds me of the words of Jesus in the Bible verse Matthew 6:26

Jeff, what does any of this have to do with Covid-19? Looks to me like your using a tragic event to further push your usual drivel here.

Jesus was a no show for the Black Death, the Inquisition, slavery, the slaughter of Native Americans, the Holocaust, Stalin's purges, etc.

If you actually believe he's gonna show up for this, you're in for a big disappointment.

Apparently some young people have applied the hashtag #BoomerRemover to Covid-19 ;)

By Jeff Winters (Jeff1980) on Wednesday, April 01, 2020 - 9:30 am:

Tim, I'm not trying to use this Coronavirus/Covid-19 tragedy or trying to push drivel, I wanted to get in touch with my feelings and emotions, Me and my family suffered in the past, so I'm very sympathetic and empathetic towards other suffering people, a Pastor told me and other Christians Jesus is returning soon, I hope he's right, people are very worried and afraid with this pandemic, they have fear, anxiety, uncertainty, in addition to the other usual problems in life, Myself and other Christians have said God is our Only Hope and that many other Christians look forward to the return of Jesus and the New Earth to come, people have said that in many ways, America and the World is a terrible, horrible place, While God will ultimately eliminate all evil, suffering and injustice, once and for all, and make it so there is No more Fear, Uncertainty or Anxiety, The types of sufferings I mentioned above in this discussion I will admit that until God eliminates all human suffering, until then we as humans need to do our part to try to make the world a better place, and help solve these problems, we need to be proactive ourselves, and do our part, my fellow Evangelical Protestants would agree with me, Countless people in America and Worldwide are living in the Shadow of a Nightmare, they cannot enjoy their lives in the present because of their painful pasts, and at the same time ,they live in fear of the future, they are Nervous wrecks,in this uncertain chaotic world, where countless things sadly can and often do go wrong, I will be back in a few days with more insight

Looks to me like you're not looking for a discussion, you're just looking for validation on all of the boards you've started.

By Jeff Winters (Jeff1980) on Wednesday, April 01, 2020 - 5:26 pm:

Scott, I was wondering how many other Christians here have a hope of a perfect World like I do, like I said, Imagine a World with No More Suffering
No Crime,No War,No Violence,No Hate or bigotry or Racism,
No Loneliness,
No Animal Cruelty, No Povery,No Hunger or Homelessness,No Mental or Physical disease, No more evil, suffering or injustice, No Natural Disasters or hectic stress filled rat race, No more Fear, uncertainty or Anxiety , My mother before her death said ultimately Jesus will return and end all human suffering evil and injustice once and for all

By ScottN (Scottn) on Wednesday, April 01, 2020 - 11:41 pm:

My point is that you refuse to listen to or respond to posts critical of your opinion.

You don't want engagement here, you just want validation.

By Tim McCree (Tim_m) on Thursday, April 02, 2020 - 5:28 am:

a Pastor told me and other Christians Jesus is returning soon

And if that Pastor had told you that the Earth was flat, or that men from Mars would be landing soon, you would just believe and not ask any questions.

Seriously, dude, if you're sitting around, waiting for Jesus to show up, snap his fingers, and make the world a better place, you're in for a world of disappointment.

People have been spouting about Jesus coming back for centuries, yet, where is he? The guy is taking his own sweet time getting back. Part of the Millennium craze was that 2000 was the yeah that Jesus would make his grand return. Well, he's 20 years overdue.

Anyway, I agree with Scott. You're just looking for validation. Well, as you have been told, over and over, you're not gonna find it here.

I am listening, and what brings me comfort is knowing that my family members and various friends who have passed away over the years, they are not dead, but rather they are alive and conscious in Heaven, watching over me and smiling and according to the Bible, someday they will return to live on this Physical Planet Earth forever, on the New Earth, Free from evil, suffering and injustice as the website gotquestions.org explains these Bible doctrines, just wanted to clarify, I'm not a Jehovah's Witness, I'm a Mainstream Evangelical Protestant, the website gotquestions.org is a Mainstream Protestant website

Ladies and Gentlemen of the jury, I rest my case.

By Jeff Winters (Jeff1980) on Monday, April 06, 2020 - 5:40 pm:

Tim, in response to your post of April 2, 2020 and the return of Jesus, and how it didn't happen in the year 2000, and your argument that for hundreds of years people have been saying
"Jesus is Returning Soon" I see your point, however myself and countless other Christians hope ultimately Jesus returns to Earth to eliminate all evil, suffering and injustice once and for all, as the Bible teaches,
