A Pastor once said that on one side there is Skepticism and Doubt, while on the other side there is Faith and Hope , how would we think Faith is different from Wishful Thinking ?

The sad truth is that my Mother had Mental illness since she was 19 in
1969, she passed away in September 2014 at the age of 63,
My Mom's Type I Bipolar Disorder, severely damaged her life, in a sense after she became ill when she was 19 in 1969, she gave up on life, on all her hopes and dreams, she was still alive and breathing, still very intelligent, and got some enjoyment out of life, had a good heart, very nice person, and tried to be a good mother, and was a good Mother in many ways, but after she became ill when she was 19 in 1969, she had to drop out of College and she basically gave up on life, for the most part. However the sad truth is that Life gave up on her first, Life first gave up on my Mother then Afterwards She in Return gave up on Life,
Yes I know that Life is Often very unfair and unjust for countless people, but for people like my Mother, for many people like my Mother Life was Extremely Extremely Unjust and Unfair, I have Faith and Hope that my Mother is at Peace and Happy in Heaven, My Mother has passed away, yet I view her as Not being dead but as being alive and fully conscious in Heaven, watching over me and smiling as I type these words. According to the Bible ultimately in the future, her and countless other people who have passed away and are currently in Heaven will all ultimately Return to Earth to Live forever on the New Earth where there will be no more evil, suffering or injustice of any kind

I forgot to type, My Mother always took her Medication for her Type I Bipolar disorder, and she was stable most of the time, but it's messed up how her illness severely damaged her life since she was 19

My mother had a difficult life, filled with suffering, but I have a feeling that in Heaven she is saying about her old Earthly life
"Thank God it's over" She is happy to be alive and in Heaven
She passed away in September 2014 at the age of 63, however when she was 46 in
1996, she had a bad reaction to a prescription medication, and was in a coma for Six weeks, she saw God, God gave her a Choice, to die and go to Heaven at the age of 46, or to live out the rest of her life, she chose to live out the rest of her Earthly life, and she passed away at the age of 63 in
September 2014. In Early 1997 she came out of the Coma, and a few weeks later she told my family about how she saw God and how she was given a Choice

Do we think Wishful thinking is better than Nothing, ?
