IMO, the new dubs are a big and welcome improvement over the first 82 dubbed eps. The fact that DiC is no longer a factor probably helps considerably. Now, there's no more major cuts for content (crosses fingers), and the original music, henshin and attack phrases are starting to be used.

However, "Serena's" new VA needs to be dragged out back and shot. The whole production would be improved even more if the dubbing studio, Optimum, had some quality control and a less tyrannical voice director. Most inconsistencies in the dialogue and voice acting can be traced back to these two factors. They just want to get the stuff out the door as fast as possible so that money can be made.

Time will tell if the new dubs keep up the quality they've shown so far. My only major complaint is: all this improvement, and they're still saying "Sailor Scout?"

I have the Geneon version of Super S vol.6.
Rini and Usagi's voices tend to be annoying at first. On the other hand since in the first episode on the DVD it's mainly Usagi and Rini we don't really get a chance to hear the other Senshi
voices in the dub.
Though an advantage with Geneon is that they have it uncut with additional footage.
