Nitcentral's Bulletin Brash Reflections: XFiles: The Kitchen Sink is out there...: Characters: Walter Skinner
By Omer on Thursday, January 14, 1999 - 12:07 pm:

I have a question long wanted an answer for. In Skinner's office there are two pictures. One of them is Bill Clinton's and one is of a woman. Who's the woman?

By Murray Leeder on Thursday, January 14, 1999 - 12:44 pm:

Isn't it Madeleine Albright?

By Charles Cabe (Ccabe) on Thursday, January 14, 1999 - 2:55 pm:

The lady is Janet Reno, The Attorney General of the US. She is also in charge of Department of Justice and the FBI. Also, Spender has a picture of Janet Reno and Bill Clinton in his office.

By Hans Thielman on Friday, January 15, 1999 - 2:26 pm:

Shouldn't there be a photo of Louis Freeh, the Director of the FBI, in Skinner's office also?

By Omer on Friday, January 15, 1999 - 9:19 pm:

I thought it was Jenet Reno! that was my guess... . thanks Charles, you solved a four years old mystery for me!

By Nyla on Saturday, January 16, 1999 - 7:32 am:

My dad says that he is probably legally required to have her picture up, since the FBI
is under the Dept. of Justice. Spender on the other hand..

Is Skinner still married? In "Avatar", he says he will not sign the divorce papers and ends the episode by slipping his wedding band back on. But in some episode (I really do not remember which one), Mulder brings Krycek to Skinner's apartment and Skinner punches Krycek. Please note that all of this conmotion does not bring Mrs. Skinner coming up and saying, "Walter, why are you punching that man?"

By Nyla on Sunday, January 17, 1999 - 6:16 am:

That is the question, isn't it? I would say that he isn't, only because we haven't
seen a ref. to Mrs. Skinner in quite a while.

By Ben Jackson (Bjackson) on Sunday, January 17, 1999 - 12:30 pm:

Skinner is one of my favorite characters. He is open yet doesn't take any **** from anyone. And he knows that M&S are getting closer and closer to something so, even though he is not supposed to, he still helps.

By Aaron on Tuesday, January 26, 1999 - 6:38 am:

Perhaps, since they are not pre-divorced anymore, they are more of an "estranged" couple, but still together. That might be why Skinner came back to his office in "S.R. 819" rather than go home. (On the other hand, Mrs. Skinner could be why he hasn't been seen in many episodes this season [wink, wink, nudge, nudge]) !

By BarbF on Wednesday, March 10, 1999 - 1:23 pm:

I personally think we need another episode where Skinner walks around his apartment in his skivvies. He's the finest look BVD-clad bald man on TV today (o.k., maybe he's the ONLY BVD-clad bald man on TV today, but he was still looking pretty darn tasty).

Only if we see Scully in her underware, too.

By miranda on Sunday, May 23, 1999 - 10:22 pm:

I recall Scully in her undies in "Pilot".

I for one demand to see the butt shot that they cut from the movie! Mulder's bare bottom is *not* gratuitious!

By John on Thursday, November 11, 1999 - 7:24 pm:

Probably they're married but separted.
