I noticed a nit concering the shopping baskets. Some are red, some are yellow, some are cerillian blue. Every store I've ever been in used the same collor baskets.

Sorry, Charles, but at my local shopping centre they've got red, green, yellow and orange shopping baskets so it's totally plausible other ones have as well.

I stand corrected.

My brother used to work at Fairfax Hospital. In fact, he was working there at the time this episode aired. Funny, he doesn't remember any of this stuff happening!

Guess it was for the Gillian Anderson fans that Scully didn't wear a helmet while striding down the corridor with the SWAT team.

I'm pretty sure that the "This stuff never happened in real life," complaint falls under the category of suspension of disbelief. Also, my japanese dictionary presents several different translations for osu, it either means male animal, push, force, or recommend.

Everything in this episode suggests that Pusher can only target one person at a time. We never see him influencing multiple people, and when more than one person is listening to him only one person is "pushed." So why does Scully go into the hospital ALONE at the end? Wouldn't it be more effective to send in more than one person? If Pusher tries anything, couldn't the unaffected person shoot him?

And while we're on this subject, just what is the matter with every FBI agent in Pusher's apartment? Pusher is talking the lead agent to death and everyone jumps Mulder because he tries to save the agent! If they're worried about getting a trace, why doesn't someone else take over? Granted, Pusher may hang up, but is it worth dying for to get a telephone trace? (In this case, it's not, since Pusher is using a payphone.)

Near the end of the episode Mulder hears two gunshots and comes across two bodies. He surmises that the hospital guard was 'pushed' to shoot the doctor, then himself, with Modell taking the gun afterwords. Between the bodies; however, there's a few spent shell casings, and when Modell comes up behind Mulder we see him holding the guard's... revolver.

Revolvers don't expel shells once fired, and there's no reason for Modell to remove any bullets before they play their game of roulette.
