I wonder how Krycheck ever got out of the Missile Silo?

After Mulder and WMM finish talking and he calls Scully, WMM calls him but Mulder apparently ignored him as he takes off.

I wonder why krycheck didn't just ride the UFO up the silo. And I dought that a missle complex like that would be unguarded sans a couple of redshirts and that easy to get into.

I also noticed that the Consortium guys wree calling the craft a youfo (UFO prounced literaly) , I thought they called them 'fallen angels'

Why do they get two cops to guard Skinner? WHy not use a couple of Army guys of FBI people? Certainly an assistant diector the the FBI would not have a problem getting such protection.

Also I noticed that everyone that got burned, their eyes were always fine despite the horrible burns on the rest of their bodies, which really didn't make sence.

So who died and put Scully in charge of investigating the shooting of senior management?

Mulder says he's at New York airport and Scully should meet him at the DC airport in an hour. Uh-huh.

Apparently people possessed by the oil involuntarily emit radiation (of some type that does damage, but doesn't irradiate objects, since the scans of the Piper Maru did not reveal any radiation). At least, I can't imagine any other reason for the oil to irradiate the submarine's crew. It's a long flight from Hong Kong to the States, but Mulder seems fine, even though he was sitting next to a possessed man the whole way.

The oil and CSM seemed to have a deal that both would live up to. Why did the oil kill two of the Consortium's guards in the missle complex, then? Did it kill them, and then get forced into the silo?

I'm watching the DVDs of the series at the moment, it looks to me more like the white flash is a controlled defensive mechanism of the black oil rather than a constant emission.

Although why the possessee doesn't get burned as well is a different question - after all, the oil wouldn't care, if the host starts to keel over, it's still got time to find someone else to pilot.

Chris: I wonder why krycheck didn't just ride the UFO up the silo.
Perhaps the UFO didn't leave, for whatever reason? It's still there at the end of the ep.

CB: I also noticed that the Consortium guys wree calling the craft a youfo (UFO prounced literaly), I thought they called them 'fallen angels'
That's just a code name. I don't think it's strange for them to call it a UFO considering who the audience is. However, it's not exactly unidentified to them. A better description would've been alien spacecraft.

CB: Why do they get two cops to guard Skinner? Why not use a couple of Army guys of FBI people?
I'm not sure who/what you're referring to. The FBI does have the HRT but it still isn't the military, so getting DC police makes sense.

CB: Also I noticed that everyone that got burned, their eyes were always fine despite the horrible burns on the rest of their bodies, which really didn't make sence.
Why not? Most of the people with radiation burns where 'flashed' so a common reaction would be to close/cover the eyes. Also, the eyes are mostly fluid, and water is a shield against radiation.

Felinecare: So who died and put Scully in charge of investigating the shooting of senior management?
That's a good question but it's a good thing she did because the two agents she met with didn't have a clue about what to do.

Scully shows Mulder two PCR sheets who we know is of Luis Cardinal; one from his saliva and the second from "the man who shot [Dana's} sister." Where did the second one come from? No mention of DNA evidence was ever mentioned.

In this ep WMM learns that the tape still exists and that Krycek is selling it's secrets, indicating that CSM has been lying to them and taking matters into his own hands, yet they don't try to get rid of him for these or any of the other stuff he's done without consent of the Consortium.

What is with the tactical teams and their un-uniformed choice of weaponry in this show? Among the 'mythology' eps I don't think there's been a single group that uses an arsonel that makes sense to me. My guess is the props department has a limited supply of similar firearms.
