After the bones are pulled from the river and Scully see's the themor bone witht he metal thing in it she assumes that this belong to the most recent person to disapear. Problem? What if another person that disapeared had one as well? Unless of cource that guy was the only missing person on record to have one.

When the old guy raies his weapon when he says "they cant kill me" why doesent he shoot anyone, he had time and if he took out the head bad guy then he might have been saved.

The pills those two people took when they were having an attck or something apparently cured their pain immediatly. Theres no way a pill can relieve severe pain instatly, even an injection cannot do this.

Why didn't mulder drive all the way up to the fire? Was he trying to sneak up on them? and it sure is convieniet that the heads off mask guy (the police officer - was he the sherrif?) took so long to try to cut scullys head of, but then again that always happenes when bad guys are going to try to kill a main character and end up getting shot before they have a chance s it's not a big deal.
