Lazarus

Nitcentral's Bulletin Brash Reflections: XFiles: Season One: Lazarus
Synopsis: Scully and her ex-boyfriend/fellow FBI agent Jack Willis stake out a bank on an anonymous phone tip. Warren Dupre and his wife Lula Phillips have planned a robbery there. Dupre catches Willis off-guard and shoots him, only to be taken down by Scully. As doctors use a defibrillator to attempt to save Willis's life, Dupre's body, on a bed nearby, reacts to the jolts given to Willis. In the end, Dupre dies, but Willis manages to pull through. Unexpectedly, though, Willis leaves his hospital room after taking Dupre's wedding ring from his finger...by cutting the finger off. When Mulder hears this, he suspects that Willis might have been possessed by Dupre's spirit. Willis (with the soul of Dupre inside him, hereafter referred to as Dupre) visits Lula's brother and accuses him of tipping the police off about the robbery, eventually killing him, and disposing of the evidence when it is given to him by Scully. A phone tip helps Scully and Dupre locate Lula, but Dupre puts his gun on Scully, taking her hostage. Dupre manages to convince Lula that it is him in Willis's body, but doesn't realize that Willis is diabetic, experiencing extreme pain after drinking sugar pop. Lula robs a drug store to get insulin, which tips off Mulder and the agents searching for Scully about their possible location. Lula brings back the insulin, but ends up smashing it, revealing that she was the one who tipped off the police. With Dupre out of the way, Lula calls the FBI and demands a million dollars to release Scully. Analyzing the call, Mulder pinpoints Scully's location. As the FBI closes in, Dupre manages to get Lula's gun and shoots her, soon afterward dying of diabetic shock.

From tough-guy bank robber to geekier than Daniel Jackson, its another X-Files/Stargate actor crossover. Warren James Dupre is played by Jason Schombing, who would later go on to play Dr. Robert Rothman, a man declared worse than Jackson by O'Neill in "Forever in a Day". Along with many other of the X-Files/Stargate crossover actors, he would also go on to appear in the hit Canadian series "Da Vinci's Inquest".

When Lula smashes the bottle of insulin, to prevent Scully from administering it, no amount of liquid can be seen soaking into the carpet or droplets amongst the shards.
