Genderbender

Nitcentral's Bulletin Brash Reflections: XFiles: Season One: Genderbender
Synopsis: A man convulses and dies after a night of passion with a woman, who then morphs into a man. Mulder and Scully investigate the murder, which Mulder notes is similar to several other murders. Medical exams on the corpses turn up a unusual amount of pheromones in the victims' blood. Mulder also mentions a link to the Kindred, a orthodox religious sect similar to the Amish. The agents visit the Kindred's town, where Scully is approached by Brother Andrew. He reveals that Brother Martin has left the community, and that he has been committing the murders. Scully is affected by Andrew and is about to "do the wild thing" (Mulder's quote, not mine) with him, but Mulder intervenes and saves her from certain temptation. After leaving the town, the agents receive word that another victim has been found, but this one has survived. He tells them that the attacker changed from a female to a male. Mulder and Scully track Martin from a credit card use, but before they catch him, a group of Kindred surround him and lead him off. Returning to the Kindred village, Mulder and Scully find only an empty town, and a set of crop circles...

The Guide says that Steveston, Massachusets doesn't exist. Guess what? Steveston, British Columbia does, and it looks a whole lot like the town in this episode. Incidentally, it was also used in an episode of Sliders (the one with the bureau of "anti-technology.")
