Synopsis: Mulder requests that the FBI investigate the disapperance of Ruby Morris, a teenage girl who was apparently abducted at Lake Okobogee, which is known as a UFO hot spot. The mother reveals nothing useful, but Mulder becomes interested in Kevin Morris, the younger brother of Ruby, who draws binary numbers while staring at the television, claiming the numbers are coming from it. Curious, Mulder sends the numbers to the FBI lab, where they are determined to be parts of a top secret defense satellite transmission, which causes the boy to be taken into custody by the NSA. Scully expresses her concern that Mulder's obsession with this case is because of its similarities to the abduction of his own sister. Eventually, Ruby is retrieved in the woods, but her mother denies that she was abducted by aliens, saying that in her mind, Ruby has been with a biker gang during her disappearance.
