Begins a series of well-written Doggett appearances, which apparently some writers had trouble with up until now. I don't really want to point out, though, how much of an idiot Doggett is to not even have his gun out when he attempts to take "the giver" away from the townspeople.

As the townspeople bury Doggett, his eyelids appear to move.

I also felt that Doggett was a bit of an idiot going into the cave system without first telling anyone where he was going. He didn't know that the woman who lived in the cottage wasn't going to slam the trapdoor down and bolt it.

Other than that, this for me was one of the more enjoyable episodes of this season. I've been struggling with earlier episodes but I did like this one.

One of the highlights of the season. What I liked about Doggett is that he was a straight-shooter. He didn't know a whole lot about healers and magic and curses and stuff; he just knew the townspeople were exploiting the poor fella.
