I heard that this is the first episode of a two-parter, and that the second part is called "One Son". (Which seems somewhat backwards, since Spender and Mulder are probably both CSM's sons)

I don't see how Chris Carter could spend five years building up this mystery so that he could blow it up in two episodes. It sounds like a man who has spent five years on a mystery novel and then think "I'm sick of writing so I'm just going to get this over with." (pathetic)

Previews Always Lie! I'll consider myself lucky if they just say CSM/Cancerman's name.

I don't recall seeing Cassandra Spender in the preview but acc. to the TV listing I saw, her "reappearance threatens to expose the extraterrestrial conspiracy." But as Charles said, previews lie and they might just stir up more questions than answers.

Actually, I read an article that says that, yes, all will be revealed. Maybe not now, but by June, we'll know everything. Mulder's quest becomes not to find the truth, but what to do with it. Sounds kinda cool, eh?

What good will it do if Mulder finally learns the truth? He can't legitimately work on X Files cases lest he get suspended or fired from the Bureau. And he can work surreptiously on them only so long before he gets caught.

As long as the truth is revealed, I'm sure Fox won't care if he gets fired from the FBI or not.

Whatever they expose in this episode, I hope they explain what happened with Spender--one summer, and he goes from disliking Mulder's work to working with CSM to actively destroy the man! Carter certainly cranked up his jerk level....

On a more serious note, debunking the Conspiracy deserves more that a two-parter; it should drag out several episdoes. Of course, *I* haven't written six seasons of a hit television show, so it might be possible that Chris Carter knows more than I do!
